2:39 a.m. A woman reported that a man she hadn’t talked to in weeks stole her car and assaulted her in her hotel room at the Ute Mountain Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive. Surveillance footage of the event did not match her story. A deputy attempted to contact others for their statements.
12:42 p.m. A woman reported that her license plates went missing when a structure fire occurred at a mechanic shop where her car was being worked on in the 19200 block of Road 22. A sergeant discovered that the plates were never entered into the system and was attempting to do so.
8:48 p.m. Video surveillance captured an inmate breaking a pod entrance window at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. A deputy planned to issue the inmate a summons for criminal mischief after learning the cost of the window.
2:01 p.m. A man was cited for careless driving after he lost traction and damaged a fence in the 100 block of North 16th Street.
7:55 p.m. An intoxicated man was taken into custody after a deputy pulled him over in the 18700 block of U.S. Highway 491. He was cited for drunk driving and failing to maintain the lane.
8:10 p.m. A man was cited for reckless driving after dash cam footage apparently showed him making dangerous passes in the 19000 block of U.S. Highway 160.
7:49 p.m. A woman reported that her boyfriend had assaulted her and threatened to shoot her in the 8200 block of County Road 25. A deputy connected the woman with a victim’s advocate and sought a warrant for the boyfriend.
9:58 a.m. A man reported that a storage shed door was damaged at Pleasant View Elementary School, 15238 Road CC. There were no leads.
8:13 a.m. A woman was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.
10:56 a.m. Someone reported noticing two horses that are never exercised nor consistently fed and watered in the 18300 block of Road 27. The horses’ owner was given a warning.
11:50 a.m. A man reported that his car window was broken in the 12100 block of Road G. There were no leads.
7:10 a.m. A deputy issued a 48-hour tow tag for a vehicle that had been parked in the 17000 block of Colorado Highway 145 for two days. The deputy attempted to contact the owner.
11:03 a.m. A car accident reportedly occurred in the 10900 block of Road 29. No charges were filed.
5:27 p.m. A man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant after he turned himself in at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
4:14 p.m. A woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.
7:35 p.m. A man was taken into custody on four outstanding warrants after he was reported for walking around with a machete in the 21400 block of Road U.
9:45 a.m. A man and woman were taken into custody on outstanding warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
3:11 p.m. A woman reported that her husband’s hearing aid was missing in the 14200 block of Road 21. A deputy did not find evidence of criminal activity.
12:46 p.m. Two men were taken into custody on outstanding warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
6:30 p.m. A man was issued a summons for third degree assault after multiple people witnessed him push another man to the ground in the 26700 block of Road R.
