Thursday, March 26

7:55 a.m. A woman reported that her male neighbor had been making sexual comments outside her trailer in the 18300 block of Highway 145, and had done this before. The man later stated these were false accusations. It was confirmed that the man had an active warrant. Two deputies contacted the man, arrested him, and booked him into jail for the warrant.

10:54 a.m. A man reported that his Specialized powder blue mountain bike had been stolen from the back of his vehicle in the 30100 Road block of S.7. The bike’s serial number and model number were added to the NCIC/CCIC national databases as stolen.

Friday, March 27

10:09 a.m. A man and his father reported an internet fraud that had occurred. The son had already filed a complaint with the FBI Internet Complaint Center. The fraud involved a vehicle for sale on a website that appeared to be eBay. The seller requested multiple payments via eBay cards but the vehicle was never delivered. The deputy collected copies of the emails involved and a report was sent to CBI.

12:26 p.m. A deputy responded to Montezuma County Jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., for a warrant service to a female inmate already in custody. Four warrants were served.

2:41 p.m. A deputy responded to Montezuma County Jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., for a warrant service to a female inmate already in custody. Two warrants were served.

2:58 p.m. A deputy responded to Montezuma County Jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., for a warrant service to a male inmate already in custody.

Sunday, March 29

5:11 p.m. While on patrol a deputy heard a possible REDDI call and located the vehicle. The deputy observed the vehicle cross the double yellow line several times and attempted to initiate a traffic stop by activating the emergency lights. The driver did not pull over until the deputy turned on the siren. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license and exhibited signs of intoxication. The driver was taken into custody and multiple open and unopened containers of alcohol were found in the vehicle. The driver was transported to the jail and refused to take a PBT test. The driver was transported to the hospital for medical clearance before being booked into jail on three charges.
