Wednesday, Aug. 21

11 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the lobby of the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office to take a report of a suspected fraud. A deputy took a report from a landlord who failed to get a Money Gram for $600 for rent as ordered by a court. The tenant is suspected of cashing the Money Gram and not paying the rent. The deputy took a report and filed for an arrest warrant against the tenant for perjury and theft of between $300 and $750.

Friday, Aug. 23

8:58 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 24100 block of County Road G about a man with an active warrant out of Larimer County. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Saturday, Aug. 24

11:12 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of County Road S about a possible underage party driving a vehicle. The deputy stopped a Jeep Wrangler with several people inside. The driver, who had bloodshot eyes and a slight odor of alcohol, said he had to leave a party because a possible fight was about to occur. A man was issued a summons for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Sunday, Aug. 25

10:29 a.m. A deputy was in 1900 block of Colorado Highway 184 when he noticed a Toyota Corolla with a spider-webbed windshield with multiple cracks. The deputy stopped the driver and issued a summons for driving with an obstructed view, hazardous situation, and failing to show proof of insurance.

Monday, Aug. 26

9:28 p.m. A deputy received a call from a man who wanted to turn himself in at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. The deputy arrested the man on violation of a protection order, and he was left in custody of the jail.

Tuesday, Aug. 27

11:18 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue an active warrant to a male inmate.

11:31 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue an active warrant to a female inmate.

11:42 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue two active warrants to a female inmate.

1:51 p.m. A deputy responded to a request for assistance on the revocation of a parole in the 10100 block of County Road 40.9 near Mancos. A parole officer revoked a man’s parole, and he was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

3:30 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., for a remand. A man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.

Thursday, Aug. 29

9:33 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue an active warrant to a male inmate.

Friday, Aug. 30

12:57 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue an active warrant to a male inmate.

2:15 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to issue four active warrants to a male inmate.
