10:30 a.m.: A man was pulled over on County Road 36 in Dolores after allegedly speeding on Colorado Highway 145. He was arrested on two misdemeanor warrants from Cortez and Durango.
3:24 p.m.: A man with nonworking brake lights was pulled over near U.S. Highway 160 and County Road G and cited for driving with a suspended license.
Friday, July 27
9:29 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 25700 block of County Road H on a warrant for failing to appear in court.
1:32 p.m.: A woman at the Hovenweep Visitor Center reported that a man putting up a fence in the 14000 block of County Road 10 outside Pleasant View had rolled a spool of wire in front of her car, hit her hood with bolt cutters and forced her to turn around and leave. Contacted the next day, the man accused her of trespassing and said he plans to install a gate. The case was turned over to the Bureau of Land Management.
Saturday, July 28
12:12 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant for a parole violation as she entered a room at the Mesa Verde Inn, 640 S. Broadway.
1:57 p.m.: A man was arrested at a residence in the 6400 block of County Road 23.6 on two warrants for failing to appear in court.
Sunday, July 29
9:27 p.m.: A man staying in a motor home in the 6600 block of County Road 25 was arrested on three warrants for failing to appear in court, and one for failing to comply. He also was cited for violating a protection order.
Monday, July 30
9:14 a.m.: A woman reported clothing and a Bluetooth speaker, valued at a total of $1,280, were stolen from her car during a break-in in the 22000 block of County Road 31 in Dolores while she and her sister camped in Boggy Draw.
10:01 a.m.: A mailbox post valued at $40 was reported damaged at a residence in the 39100 block of County Road C in Mancos.
4:04 p.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to comply with a court order.
Tuesday, July 31
3:34 p.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a felony warrant.
4:38 p.m.: A woman who reported that a neighbor’s dogs attacked her dog was examined at Southwest Memorial Hospital because she feared problems with her pregnancy. She was OK, a nurse said, but she faces a $531 bill. No charges were filed against the neighbor, whose dogs were fenced in at his residence in the 21400 block of County Road N in Lewis until the woman’s dog, which was loose, approached them. The woman was uninjured when she intervened in the dog fight and “gouged at their eyes.”
7:08 p.m.: A man at the Maverik gas station at 455 State St. reported that his windshield had been damaged while he was at the Montezuma County Fair, 30100 U.S. Highway 160.
