Tuesday, Nov. 20

11:30 a.m.: A woman was remanded from Montezuma County Combined Courts, at 865 N. Park St., and taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7 p.m.: A male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant.

Wednesday, Nov 21

8:03 a.m.: A deputy responded to a report of an injured deer at a residence on the 300 block of S. Walnut St. in Mancos. The resident showed the deputy a yearling mule deer in her backyard with its belly torn open, intestines hanging out and its left ear almost torn off. The resident said her dogs started chasing the deer that morning. One of her dogs had deer blood on its chest and head. The deputy killed the deer with one round from his sidearm and dragged it into a field.

4:48 p.m.: Several agencies responded to a structure fire on the 5000 block of County Road 24. A single-wide trailer was engulfed in flames. No one was found in the trailer. Two vehicles were damaged.

Friday, Nov. 23

1:54 p.m.: A deputy responded to a report of an injured deer on the 12000 block of U.S. Highway 491. The deer had two broken front legs. The deputy killed the deer with one round from his sidearm.

Saturday, Nov. 24

12:56 p.m.: Deputies responded to a structure fire on the 19000 block of County Road 22. The Lewis-Arriola Fire Protection District put out a fire at a double-wide trailer. The property owner arrived and reportedly said, “There goes my retirement.”

Sunday, Nov. 25

7:54 a.m.: A single vehicle crashed on the 9000 block of County Road G. The Lexus sedan was on its roof, blocking westbound traffic. There were no occupants, but the father of the driver arrived a short time later and told deputies he was coming back to recover the vehicle.

12:13 p.m.: A blue Toyota Tacoma crashed into a ditch off the road on U.S. Highway 491 near the 24000 block of County Road K.3. The driver said he drank two 40-ounce beers. Colorado State Patrol arrested him.

11:02 p.m.: A man in Moab, Utah, called to report that he had possibly lost his wallet in the parking lot near the 18000 block of U.S. Highway 491. A sheriff’s sergeant told the man he could send the wallet via mail. The man was very grateful.

Monday, Nov. 26

1:58 p.m.: A man called to report a homemade double-bladed knife he found in the alley behind the Dolores State Bank, at 101 S. Sixth St. A deputy took possession of the device, made up of two kitchen knives held together with electrical tape, and placed it in a container in an evidence locker.

4:15 p.m.: A man in custody at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:11 p.m.: A man was issued a summons for driving with a revoked license at the 300 block of S. Broadway.

Tuesday, Nov. 27

2:14 p.m.: A man in custody at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant.
