Friday, Nov. 17

1:40 p.m.: A man was arrested at Ute Mountain Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive, Towaoc, on a warrant for a traffic offense and on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. While he was being arrested, the man reportedly put his hand in a jacket pocket and asked if he could throw something away, saying it would be “a life sentence” if he didn’t. The deputy attempted handcuff him, and pushed him against a wall and got help from a security guard to get his hands behind his back. A small bag of meth and three knives were found in the man’s pockets.

Saturday, Nov. 18

3:33 p.m.: A man was arrested at the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St., on suspicion of violating a protection order after the woman who had the order claimed he had sent her several text messages, violating the protection order.

Monday, Nov. 20

10:39 a.m.: A man was arrested at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St., on two warrants for failure to appear.

4:37 p.m.: A man was remanded into custody from Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.
