Responding deputies and police officers reportedly decided to put the man in a restraint chair for his own safety, but because he was shouting threats at them, they deployed a stun gun to incapacitate him as soon as they opened the cell door. The man was then handcuffed and put in a restraint chair with a “spit hood” over his head. He was medically cleared by personnel from Southwest Memorial Hospital after the stun gun deployment.
