Friday, Dec. 22

9:34 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

Saturday, Dec. 23

2:56 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a hit-and-run car crash in the 27000 block of County Road P. A woman reported her car’s driver door had been damaged sometime between Dec. 20 and the previous night, while she was out of town. The woman reportedly said she suspected her neighbor of hitting it with her car, but when deputies examined the other woman’s car, it did not appear to have damage consistent with the crash. Responding deputies requested the case be closed due to lack of evidence.

5:32 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the 28000 block of County Road K.2.

7:07 p.m.: A deputy responded to a report of an injured deer in the road near the intersection of County Road 29 and U.S. Highway 160. He killed the deer with three shots to the head and removed it from the road.

Sunday, Dec. 24

11:53 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 38000 block of U.S. Highway 160 on a warrant for failure to appear after deputies responded to a report he had assaulted his girlfriend. The woman did not give any details about the alleged assault, and deputies were reportedly unable to contact her after she called them, so the man was not charged with assault.

4:38 p.m.: A man was arrested at Ute Mountain Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive, on a Montrose County warrant for assault as the result of domestic violence.

Monday, Dec. 25

8:23 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a traffic accident in the 34000 block of U.S. Highway 160. A deputy killed an injured deer at the scene of the accident with one shot. Colorado State Patrol troopers took over the accident investigation.

4:38 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report that two juveniles had found a small pouch containing white powder in the 300 block of North 14th Street, Dolores. The pouch tested presumptive positive for meth. Deputies placed it into evidence but did not immediately identify a suspect.

10:44 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of an overdose in the county. A juvenile was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital after telling medical personnel he had taken a whole bottle of pills. The juvenile reportedly had a history of attempted suicide, and responding deputies told his parents to remove two knives found in his bedroom.

Tuesday, Dec. 26

11:46 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a suicide threat on Colorado Highway 145 near McPhee Reservoir. A man was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital after reportedly threatening to drive his car into the lake.

4:44 p.m.: Deputies assisted Colorado State Patrol troopers in an arrest in the 23000 block of County Road G. Deputies secured a man who was reportedly resisting arrest in a patrol car and had him medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being taken to jail.

Wednesday, Dec. 27

10:13 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of possible drug usage in the 28000 block of County Road K.2. A man reported he had just moved back into his residence after an absence, and had found a residue on a bathroom floor that he believed might be from drugs. Responding deputies found the substance was not drug-related.

2:33 p.m.: A man was served with two warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Thursday, Dec. 28

12:28 p.m.: A man was remanded to jail custody from the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

2:33 p.m.: A man was served with a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center.

2:57 p.m.: A woman was served with a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center.

3:33 p.m.: A man was issued a summons in the 1000 block of Railorad Avenue, Dolores, on suspicion of driving under restraint after he was pulled over for driving with an obstructed windshield.
