Wednesday, Oct. 21

9:19 a.m. A motorist was stopped for failing to signal on the 35000 block of U.S. 160 and was arrested on two outstanding warrants.

12:24 p.m. A G-Whil Liquors official reported that an employee stole $99.95 from the register. Video surveillance revealed her stuffing cash into her bra. The woman blamed the theft on Attention Deficit Disorder. She was fired and attempted to flee the scene. Authorities contacted her in the parking lot, ticketing her for theft and issuing her a trespass notice.

6:51 p.m. A motorist was stopped for driving with no headlights on the 29000 block of U.S. 160. The driver was ticketed for suspended license and issued a warning for the traffic infraction.

11:01 p.m. A motorist was stopped for weaving on the 6000 block of U.S. 160 and was ticketed for suspended license.

Thursday, Oct. 22

10:10 a.m. A guest at the Baymont Hotel reported that his vehicle was vandalized. A deputy determined that road debris had possibly cracked the rear bumper.

10:29 p.m. A motorist was stopped on the 30000 block of U.S. 160 for going 78 in a 65 mph zone. A passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and the driver was ticketed for speeding.

Friday, Oct. 23

12:30 a.m. A motorist struck a black cow on the 13000 block of County Road BB.

Saturday, Oct. 24

10:33 a.m. A motorist known to have outstanding warrants was followed into the Skyline gas station parking lot and arrested.

3:34 p.m. A woman on the 26000 block of County Road H reported that a neighbor’s limped-leg bulldog ate her chickens. No blood was found on the dog, which was missing most of its teeth. One chicken was wounded, but no dead chickens were located. The woman threatened to shoot the dog if it returned. The neighbor was ticketed for dog running at large.

Monday, Oct. 26

12:03 a.m. A deer was reportedly responsible for a vehicle rollover on the 27000 block of Colo. 145. The driver, complaining that her money was flying across the highway, refused medical treatment and breathalyzer after officials discovered a broken liquor bottle. The State Patrol reportedly took the woman into custody on an outstanding warrant for reckless driving.

12:04 a.m. A woman reported that she agreed to fund a man’s child-support payment in exchange for a vehicle but never received the automobile. The man reported the vehicle was left in Florida for repairs after it broke down.

6:25 p.m. A motorist was stopped for speeding, 65 in a 40 mph zone, on the 20000 block of County Road G and was ticketed for speeding and lack of insurance.

7:42 p.m. A motorist was stopped for defective license plate lamp on the 4000 block of U.S. 160. The driver was ticketed for lack of insurance, expired tag, defective lamp and failure to provide child restraint.

Tuesday, Oct. 27

2:05 p.m. A woman reported that two unleashed dogs barked at her while she was teaching her son to ride a pony on the 12000 block of County Road 22. Deputies were unable to contact the dogs’ owner.

4:30 p.m. A man suffered serious injury after crashing a 4-wheeler on the 23000 block of County Road P.

7:20 p.m. A woman was arrested and charged with menacing and harassment after she refused to sign a summons. She reportedly threatened to turn her dogs loose on a property management official at Lakeside Trailer Park.

7:24 p.m. A deputy struck a deer on the 25000 block of County Road H. The deer was euthanized. The patrol vehicle wasn’t damaged.
