In their never ending search for revenues, Centura-Mercy Hospital providers now resort to shady billing practices. They disregard Medicare claims that disallow their bills and specify that patients are not to be billed. This is done through obscure third-party billing companies.
They pass the buck and fail to respond to inquiries. Their approach is to ignore patient inquiries and communications, claiming that they are overloaded and unable to respond, and threaten to immediately turn over any disputed bill to collections.
Compassionate care? Ha! What a disgrace.
