U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., announced Monday that his Southwest Colorado staff will hold office hours in Cortez on Thursday, May 18.

Bennet’s staff plans to help residents one-on-one with questions about working with the Department of Veterans Affairs, IRS, Social Security Administration, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, or another federal agency.

“There’s no greater responsibility as Colorado’s senator than being responsive to the needs of Coloradans across our state,” said Bennet in a news release. “If you’re having issues navigating a federal agency or receiving benefits, or have any questions, comments, or concerns, I encourage you to schedule time to talk with our team.”

On May 18, Jacob Lichty, Bennet’s representative in Southwest Colorado, and John Whitney, Bennet’s Western Slope director, will hold office hours from 10 a.m. to noon at the Montezuma County Annex, 107 N. Chestnut St.

To schedule a one-on-one appointment, email Jacob_Lichty@bennet.senate.gov or call (970) 259-1710. Include your name, address, phone number, and a brief description of the issue you want to address.
