San Juan Regional Medical Center gives ICU nurse the DAISY award

San Juan Regional Medical Center leaders gave intensive care unit nurse Heather Robinson the DAISY award Monday.

Robinson, who has been a nurse for 10 years and an ICU nurse for the past three, was nominated by a fellow caregiver and nurse mentor. In addition to working in the ICU, Robinson is a charge nurse, a member of the rapid response team and a preceptor.

The DAISY Foundation stands for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. It was created by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died at the age of 33 of complications of an autoimmune disease.
