Art from students and instructors will be on display in the San Juan College Art Student Exhibit April 6 through April 28 at the Henderson Fine Arts Center Art Gallery.
The gallery will showcase artwork by students of Fine Arts Professors Don Ellis and Bill Hatch, according to San Juan College Public Relations Coordinator Lucy Haber.
This biannual exhibit is coordinated to highlight the skills that can be learned through the college’s art department, Haber said.
“We have been fortunate to highlight every student who submits their work,” she said.
Hatch, who has taught at San Juan College for over 25 years, requested that his students submit their best work.
Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works will be on display.
During the show, visitors will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite pieces from four categories including 3D, painting, drawing and photography.
An opening reception will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in the Henderson Fine Arts Center Art Gallery.
The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information about this exhibit or other gallery events, call (505) 566-3464.
