San Juan College Orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, May 5, at Henderson Fine Arts Performance Hall.

The orchestra, conducted by Dr. Teun B. Fetz, will perform orchestral music from a variety of styles and eras including, “Arabian Dances” by Brian Balmages, “Ashokan Farewell” by Jay Unger, featuring James Martin on vibraphone and Tristen Robbins on violin, and “España Cañi” by Pascual Marquina.

Included in this concert will be a special performance of “The Romance of Violin” and “Orchestra No. 2” by Ludwig van Beethoven, featuring Aubrey Harmon, as the violin soloist.

The orchestra will also perform several pieces including “Mimosa Shower” by Yukiko Nishimura and “Sicilienne” from “Pelléas et Mélisande” by Gabriel Fauré.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors. Students and area musicians are free. Tickets are available online, at the San Juan College Bookstore and at the door.
