San Juan College Music Department will stream the San Juan College Choir concert, be enCOURAGEd, at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The program selections are musical and poetic reactions to events of the past year, bookended by two contemporary pieces, Frank Sinatra’s “High Hopes” and Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day.” Other selections will include Sarah Quartel’s “The Birds Lullaby,” the Irish folksong “Be Thou My Vision,” the Hebrew song “Bashana Haba’ah” (Next Year), Jacob Narverud’s “Ad Astra” (To the Stars) and the selections “Things That Never Die,” “Sisi ni Moja,” “Undivided” and “Shalom.”
Instrumentalists Tennille Taylor, Carla Lehmeier-Tatum, Katie Fetz, Dr. Teun Fetz and Robyn Woodard will accompany the choral ensemble.
