Rodeo Day is returning to the Cortez Public Library for one day only on June 6 at 10 a.m.

The rodeo royalty and rodeo equipment will be there, and kids may participate in stories, a craft, line dancing, stick horse races and roping.

“Dress Western or just come for the fun,” children’s librarian Laura McHenry said in an email.

Each child will receive a free rodeo ticket if accompanied by an adult ticket holder at the rodeo, which runs June 7-9 at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds.

The library is at 202 N. Park St. Rodeo Day is sponsored by the Ute Mountain Roundup Rodeo Committee.
