The Democratic National Committee is part of our government corruption problem. It is itself a threat to democracy. If the DNC valued the democratic process, it would have allowed us to choose a presidential candidate through a real primary.
Instead, it chose Joe Biden and now, based on his sad debate performance last week, it is clear he’s not fit to run.
Corruption runs deep in our government, on both sides of the aisle. Lobbyists pay congressional members to enact policies that benefit corporations, not regular people. This is why the rich in our country keep getting richer.
The U.S. has lax policies that allow toxic chemicals into our foods, and we subsidize industries like sugar (to the tune of $4 billion a year!) rather than supporting sustainable agriculture. Pharmaceutical companies profit while causing harm – the opiate crisis is just one well-known example. And weapons manufacturers make money by pushing us to engage in continuous wars.
Democrats have a choice this year. The Robert Kennedy Jr. campaign has likely obtained enough signatures to get him on the Colorado ballot. this is happening across our country so Democrats everywhere can vote for Kennedy or for Biden – or whoever the DNC chooses (for you) to replace Biden.
If you still think Kennedy is anti-vax or has diminished cognitive skills because of a brain worm, please do some research. I believe you’ll find him to be highly intelligent and well-spoken, and more willing than Biden to uphold the values of our democratic society.
