Region 9 gets board member

Phillips

The Region 9 Economic Development District of Southwest Colorado announces addition of Andrea Phillips to its board of directors.

Phillips is the administrator for Mancos. She grew up in central Ohio and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder and has a dual master’s degree from The Ohio State University in public policy and management and city and regional planning. She serves as treasurer of the Southwest Colorado Council of Governments, is on the Montezuma Community Economic Development Association (MCEDA), and volunteers with the Mancos Trails Group, Mancos Valley Historical Society, and is a current participant in Leadership Montezuma.

Region 9 is a public/private partnership that promotes and coordinates economic development efforts in five Colorado counties. The Region 9 Board of Directors is composed of representatives from the 17 local governmental jurisdictions and nine members from the private sector.
