While we are all acutely aware of the national election this November, there is also an important and more immediate local election worthy of our attention.
I strongly encourage you to reelect Tim Wheeler, an experienced and effective LPEA board member, for another term. As the treasurer and chair of the Finance and Audit Committee, he was instrumental in decreasing greenhouse gas emissions and costs while also improving transparency and accountability.
Tim has utilized his business experience to responsibly advocate for local control over our energy future, which is becoming a reality with LPEA’s recent vote to exit its restrictive power contract with Tri-State. His continued hard work on the board will be critical to ensuring a sustainable and secure energy future this community deserves.
For over 30 years, Tim has dedicated both his time and money to invest in and strengthen this community. He has dedicated countless volunteer hours and service on local boards to improve education, our environment and our local economy.
His service on the LPEA board is a continuation of that decadeslong investment in our community.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such an experienced representative on the LPEA board, and I encourage residents of District 4 to vote to reelect Tim Wheeler so he can continue to work successfully on our behalf.
