Recyclers make a difference

Dolores Public Library, along with the Friends of the Library, began recycling aluminum cans in 1984 as a match for a preschool enrichment grant for children's programs and to sustain the cost of those programs. Today, that process has mushroomed with an increase in the collection bin and in funds for the children's reading programs for preschool through high school.

We hope everyone will continue to support our efforts to maintain our aluminum can drive to support the programs that have helped children of many ages begin a lifelong relationship with reading and learning. Our collection bin is at the south side of the library parking lot. For more information, call 882-4127.
