I’m really disappointed in our community and how we pay so little tribute and respect to the minorities that have contributed in significant ways to the development of our county and communities.
I taught school in the local school district that went along with the Texas “driven” history books and curricula because the publishing companies wanted the biggest buyers to buy their textbooks. No Black history, no women’s history, no Indigenous history, no Hispanic history. Just the history the “good ole boys” liked and were willing to allow their biased politics to pay for.
Now, we are supporting school boards that are little more than lackies, propagating the undoing of American history. Shame on us!
