I was proud of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, sitting in defiance of Volodymyr Zelensky’s speech in order for Ukraine to receive $45 billion. She is speaking for her supporters who do not approve of the corrupt actions of this current administration and Congress.
There is no doubt Vladimir Putin is a bad guy but for the United States to be involved in a war that the American people have no stakes in, is just not acceptable. We don't want to be involved in wars around the globe period – not to mention – we just don't have $45 billion. It’s being borrowed on the backs of hardworking Americans and causing further inflation. We are almost $32 trillion in debt. What ever happened to the anti-war movement that started in the 1960s?
So, let’s look at the real reasons we are involved in this war that President Joe Biden got us into within weeks of his taking office. It’s widely known Ukraine has been used for sex trafficking, drugs, gun running and money laundering for years. Corrupt politicians on both sides have been involved in these practices ever since Zelensky was installed as president.
Those of us who voted for Boebert applaud her defiance on Capitol Hill and find her actions speak loudly for those of us who don’t believe in unnecessary wars involving corruption.
