‘Protected speakership at expense of innocent Ukrainian lives’

Mike Johnson, the fundamentalist Christian Speaker of the House, demanded the Southern border must be addressed before further Ukraine funding is approved. After months of work, the Senate passed a bipartisan bill addressing both issues. Then Donald Trump said he doesn’t want the bill to pass so he can effectively exploit the border issue in the election.

With a narrow Republican control of the House, Johnson is vulnerable to being removed by other Christian White Nationalists in his party. He and his Vladimir Putin-friendly Republicans don’t simply balk at the expense of supporting Ukraine, they actually support Putin.

Sure, Putin is a war criminal who murders opponents, has launched an unprovoked war in Ukraine, kidnapped their children, interfered in U.S. elections and runs a mafia state that has stripped the wealth of his nation. But Putin is “anti-woke,” supports a conservative church and attacks gays. Johnson has shamelessly protected his speakership from a challenge at the expense of innocent Ukrainian lives. A real Christian.

Since World War II, the world’s major powers have existed in a stable environment because of America and our allies. Now, this is at risk of unraveling because of Trump and Christian nationalists. Putin seeks to reconstruct the Soviet empire and is surging in Ukraine.

China has a massive military and wants to control Asia’s economies by claiming the South China Sea, and has said it will take Taiwan.

Ronald Reagan would be shocked. Are we to ignore all of this for Trump? What a disgrace.
