The third annual Dolores Fall Festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Flanders Park.
Organizer Ruby Gonzales said this year there will be a record 25 vendors selling fresh produce, jams, crafts, artwork, and baked goods.
"It keeps growing every year," she said. "I was inspired to try it out after visiting a similar festival in the San Luis Valley."
Our Lady of Victory Catholic church will serve up cheeseburgers, hot dogs and brats. The Dolores Booster club will be selling their famous chili bowl.
Local vendors are coming from Dove Creek, Mancos, Dolores, Bayfield, and even from Thornton.
The Mad Canners of Dolores will be there, said member Tanya Hainey.
"The festival has a little bit of everything," she said. "It is fun to check out what people are growing and all the arts and crafts."
Lori McGuire, a local artist, will be selling candles, silk flower arrangements and photo albums.
"There is a lot of variety at this event," she said. "It's nice for the community to come out and get together. Plus it's free for vendors, so that's nice."
The event highlights agricultural roots, said chamber director Rocky Moss, and is scheduled to fill in the slow time between summer and hunting season.
"We're trying to bring people to town for some shopping and visiting," Moss said. "It's a family-friendly event during a pleasant time of year."
