The Powerhouse in Durango will host an informational Zoom meeting about Destination Imagination, a STEAM program open to students in Southwest Colorado, on Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m.

In the Destination Imagination program, students of similar age are grouped in teams of two to seven, and they develop solutions to project-based challenges involving science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. They compete in tournaments with their chosen challenges at the end of the program.

The challenges utilize creative processes, have open-ended solutions and express creativity, according to the Destination Imagination website. Students learn self-confidence, creative and critical thinking, team building, problem solving, risk taking and project management.

Those interested in learning more about DI and STEAM can tune into the Zoom informational meeting on Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m., and the Zoom link can be found on the flyer.
