1:46 p.m.: A man was arrested on four warrants in Parque de Vida, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave., after he was found lying “passed out” in the grass.
10:10 p.m.: A man was arrested on two warrants after he was pulled over for an undisclosed traffic violation in the 200 block of W. Second St.
Monday, Nov. 28
11:06 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County District Court, 109 W. Main St.
12:21 p.m.: A man reported a vehicle break-in in the Wal-Mart parking lot and the theft of about $30 in change. Video surveillance pointed to a passenger in what was believed to be a red Ford Fusion.
2 p.m.: A man reported a vehicle break-in in the Wal-Mart parking lot and the theft of three phones worth $450.
1:20 p.m.: A man was served a summons for shoplifting after he allegedly attempted to walk out of Wal-Mart wearing a pair of unpurchased boots priced at $28.84.
7:43 p.m.: Two men were arrested on active warrants at Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.
Tuesday, Nov. 29
10:42 a.m.: A man was arrested at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., for disturbing the peace and violating bond conditions that barred him from consuming alcohol.
1:31 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant after he was found hiding in a closet at a residence in the 600 block of S. Washington St.
2:12 p.m.: A woman was arrested on three warrants after she was spotted walking on Mildred Road at Montezuma Ave.
4:43 p.m.: A man was arrested outside a residence in the 200 block of N. Park St. on suspicion of first-degree trespass and criminal mischief for allegedly breaking into a garage, breaking a house window and breaking windows on two vehicles parked outside. Damage was estimated at $1,200.
Wednesday, Nov. 30
8:41 a.m. A woman was arrested at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant for failing appear in court for a local misdemeanor.
9:03 a.m. A man turned himself in and was arrested at the Montezuma County Jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant for failing to appear in court for a local misdemeanor.
4:01 p.m. A woman reported a lost or stolen cell phone, worth about $300, at Wal-Mart.
10:49 p.m. A man was arrested in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., on warrant for a failing to appear in court for a local misdemeanor. He was treated at Southwest Memorial Hospital for a possibly infected injury before being transported to Montezuma County Jail, 730 E. Driscoll Ave.
Thursday, Dec. 1
3:12 p.m. A man was arrested in the 100 block of E. Main St. on a warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.
Friday, Dec. 2
12:52 p.m. A man was arrested in the 8000 block of County Road 25 for eluding or attempting to elude a police officer, after leading an officer on a chase from the 700 block of W. Seventh St., where the officer attempted to pull him over for expired license plates. During the chase, the man’s vehicle reached speeds of 62 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone. When the man stopped, a handgun that was reported stolen by the Lansing (Michigan) Police Department earlier this year was found in his car.
2:42 p.m. A woman reported an incident of criminal mischief in the 200 block of S. Harrison St. after someone spray painted the words “Seventh Monster” on a privacy fence. The fence was valued at about $3,000.
7:41 p.m. A man was arrested in the 10 block of S. Harrison St. on a warrant for failing to appear in court for an out-of-county misdemeanor after a police officer stopped him for driving a vehicle without two working headlights.
9:03 p.m. A man was arrested in the 500 block of S. Madison St. on a warrant for failing to appear in court for a local misdemeanor. He was a passenger in a car that was stopped for speeding. The driver was given a verbal warning and released.
9:46 p.m. A driver was issued a summons for failing to drive in a single lane, operating a vehicle with a defective headlamp and possession of an open container of alcohol after she was stopped in the 400 block of S. Sligo St.
11:09 p.m. A man was issued a summons for driving under the influence, careless driving and illegal consumption of ethyl alcohol by an underage person after being stopped in the parking lot of McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St.
11:32 p.m. A man was arrested in the 2800 block of E. Main St. for a violating bond conditions. A woman who was with him at the time was released with a summons for driving with ability impaired, failing to obey a traffic control signal and child abuse not resulting in death or injury.
