Wednesday, July 27

9:19 a.m.: A man at Happy Valley Trailer Park, in the 200 block of E. Seventh St., reported that a shed had been tagged with graffiti.

9:26 a.m.: A man at the Aqua Car Wash, in the 400 block of E. Main St., reported that the building had been tagged with graffiti.

10:19 a.m.: A man was cited for making harassing phone calls to the District Attorney’s office and the DA’s cellphone, including one in which he called the DA a name of sexual nature. The officer advised the DA to block the caller’s phone number.

12:47 p.m.: A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County jail.

2:28 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at a residence in the 300 block of N. Linden St. after failing to go to court.

3:06 p.m.: A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a three-car crash in the 800 block of E. Main St.

4:59 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, resisting arrest and violating a protection order in the Cortez Public Library in the 200 block of N. Park St.

5:36 p.m.: A man was cited for shoplifting after allegedly stealing a tube of glue at Wal-Mart, in the 1800 block of E. Main St.

6:16 p.m.: After a report of a fight in City Park in the 800 block of E. Main St., a woman was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and disturbing the peace. Two men and another woman were cited for disturbing the peace.

8:39 p.m.: A $400 welder and $300 helmet were reported stolen in the 600 block of E. Third St.

11:40 p.m.: A man was arrested on an active warrant and on suspicion of criminal impersonation after a report of an assault at a residence in the 500 block of S. Madison St.

Thursday, July 28

12:17 a.m.: A woman was pulled over in the 800 block of Mildred Road and cited for DUI and other, undisclosed charges. She was released from the jail to a sober friend.

12:29 p.m.: A female inmate at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served with a no-bond warrant.

3 p.m.: A male inmate at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served with a warrant.

3:35 p.m.: An allegedly intoxicated man who was sleeping with his pants down at Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

7:01 p.m.: A large man remanded by Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, was double-cuffed and taken to the Montezuma County jail.

7:26 p.m.: A man was issued a summons for drinking alcohol in Cortez City Park, 802 E. Main St.

8:12 p.m.: A man at E. Main and Beech streets was cited for inhaling spray-paint vapors.

11:24 p.m.: A woman was arrested for possessing alcohol in Cortez City Park, 802 E. Main St.
