7:47 p.m. An officer responded to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., for a shoplifting call. A woman, who was already banned from Walmart, and a man were identified as suspects and cited. After receiving their citations, the man was also banned from Walmart.
Thursday, March 27
8:43 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at the Piñon Project, 210 E. Main St.
4:23 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop at Family Dollar, 400 S. Broadway, on a vehicle with expired registration. The passenger was arrested on a warrant.
6:24 p.m. A woman was issued a citation for trespassing and arrested on a warrant at the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St.
Friday, March 28
10:24 a.m. An officer observed a woman that he knew to have a warrant walking north on South Beech St. Though she initially fled from the officer, she later turned herself in.
11:56 a.m. A man was served with a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
5:57 p.m. A man was arrested at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., on a warrant. He was also issued a citation for suspected trespassing. The man had been previously banned from Walmart.
Saturday, March 29
7:40 a.m. An officer was dispatched to a hit-and-run traffic crash on East Second Street. A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving on a denied license, failing to report an accident and unsafe backing. She was transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center after being cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital. At the hospital, she provided a breath sample of BrAC 0.194.
9:56 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after being located near City Market, 508 E. Main St., where he is banned.
1:51 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order on Third Street.
Sunday, March 30
12:19 a.m. A man was found in his vehicle, off the road near Road 25 and Road H, and arrested on suspicion of DUI, failing to present proof of insurance, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more and failing to drive in a single lane. Alcohol bottles were found in the vehicle.
3:27 p.m. A man was arrested at City Market, 508 E. Main St., on suspicion of shoplifting.
Monday, March 31
9:13 a.m. A man was served a warrant for third-degree assault, harassment, DV and criminal mischief at the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St.
11:53 a.m. A man was cited with indecent exposure after allegedly urinating in an alley near the Piñon Project, 210 E. Main St.
6:49 p.m. A man was arrested at Rust Trailer Park, 621 N. Elm St. on suspicion of violating two protection orders that state he shall not possess or consume alcohol and must stay away from the protected person.
Tuesday, April 1
10:30 a.m. A woman was served with a warrant for failure to appear at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
2:21 p.m. An officer responded to the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., for an active fight. A man who had been previously banned from the library was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault on law enforcement, disorderly conduct, third-degree criminal trespass, and resisting arrest.
2:09 p.m. A man was arrested at the Montezuma Couonty Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant.
6:43 p.m. A man was arrested at the Travel Lodge, 1120 E. Main St., on a warrant.
Wednesday, April 2
9:04 a.m. A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
9:27 a.m. An officer responded to the alleyway behind 343 E. Main St. for a welfare check. A man was arrested on a warrant and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center after medical clearance. He provided a breath sample of BrAC 0.241.
12:18 p.m. A woman was arrested on North Park Street on a warrant.
12:09 p.m. During a traffic stop at City Market, 508 E. Main St., a woman was arrested on a warrant.
4:30 p.m. A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
6:52 p.m. A woman was arrested at her residence on Taylor St. for multiple warrants.
