Thursday, March 6

10:53 a.m. A woman was issued a citation for keeping of vicious animals and running at large after her dog allegedly attacked another woman’s cat on North Market Street a few days before.

12:00 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace and interfering with an officer while she tried to tend to an unconscious man at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St. The man was reportedly yelling obscenities repeatedly.

Friday, March 7

9:21 a.m. A man turned himself into police on a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:06 p.m. A man was arrested at Burger Boy, 400 E. Main St., on suspicion of DUI, driving under revocation and careless driving after rear ending another vehicle in the parking lot. Several open and unopened alcohol containers and marijuana was found in the vehicle.

10:50 p.m. A man was arrested at the Rust Trailer Park on North Elm Street on suspicion for violating two protection orders. The first requires he stay 100 yards from the protected party and her home and the second states that he shall not possess or consume alcohol. He was also arrest on suspicion of criminal mischief after allegedly breaking a window at the residence.

Saturday, March 8

12:02 p.m. A man was cited with harassment after reportedly pushing a woman he shares a residence with on North Washington Street.

2:59 p.m. A man was cited for trespassing after being found at Safeway, 1580 E. Main St., where he is banned.

3:51 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after being found at City Market, 508 E. Main St., where he was permanently banned earlier in the day. After providing a breath sample of BrAC 0.244, he was medically cleared before being transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

4:51 p.m. A man was cited with shoplifting after reportedly stealing a multiple cases of beer from City Market, 508 E. Main St.

6:24 p.m. A woman was cited with trespassing after being located at Front Row Seat, 610 E. Main St., where she is banned.

9:54 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace after refusing to leave City Market, 508 E. Main St., where he was yelling profanities. When told to leave by officers, the man reportedly laid in the middle of the parking lot, face down and continued yelling profanities. He provided a breath sample of BrAC 0.214.

Sunday, March 9

6:46 p.m. A woman was arrested at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating two protection orders that state she shall not consume alcoholic beverages or controlled substances and for third-degree criminal trespass. She was medically cleared before being transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

10:47 p.m. A woman was arrested at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., on a warrant, suspected possession of fentanyl more than one gram and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police were called to Walmart due to a suspected shoplifting, and after transporting the woman to the Montezuma County Detention Center, an officer found 10 fentanyl pills in her wallet.

Monday, March 10

7:51 a.m. One man was issued a citation for third-degree assault and another man was arrested for a protection order violation at Rust Trailer Park on North Elm Street. The first man reportedly inflicted injuries to the second man’s head. The second man was transported to the Southwest Memorial Hospital ER.

8:59 a.m. A woman was arrested on North Sligo Street on two warrants and on suspicion of false reporting of identifying information to law enforcement authorities and violating a protection orders that states she shall not possess or consume alcohol.

Tuesday, March 11

8:03 a.m. A man was arrested on North Ash Street on four warrants and served three summons at the Montezuma County Detention Center.

9:32 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant and a woman for violating a protection orders that states she must not have contact with the man she was located with on Road G.1.

9:48 a.m. A man was arrested on five warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:11 a.m. A man was arrested on three warrants on Aldridge Road.

2:36 p.m. A man was arrested on two warrants at the Sleeping Ute Apartments, 516 S. Madison St.

3:07 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

9:33 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant after being found sleeping in the hallway of the Cortez Apartments, 620 E. Main St. After providing a breath sample of BrAC 0.222, he was medically cleared before being transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Wednesday, March 12

9:53 a.m. A woman was arrested at the Montezuma County Courthouse, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant.

7:14 p.m. A man was arrested at the Duck Pond, 515 N. Mildred Rd., for violating his bond conditions which states he shall not possess or consume alcohol.
