Thursday, Feb. 13

2:30 p.m. A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

2:57 p.m. A man was arrested at the Sleeping Ute Apartments, 516 S. Madison St., on a warrant. He was transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center and issued a trespass notice for the apartment he was located in.

4:59 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of resisting/interfering with an officer and shoplifting to wit: $99.04 after allegedly stealing items from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., and fleeing from police. He was issued a never-expiring ban from Walmart.

Friday, Feb. 14

3:29 p.m. A woman was arrested near the Church of Christ, 631 E. Montezuma Ave., on two warrants.

6:14 p.m. An employee from Liquid Assets Liquor Store, 718 E. Main St., told police a woman had stolen two bottles of peppermint schnapps from the store. The officer recognized the woman from video footage, but was unable to locate her.

7:37 p.m. A man was cited for trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., where he is banned. The man was allegedly shoplifting and ran when confronted by an employee.

Sunday, Feb. 16

1:59 p.m. A man was arrested at the Super 8 Motel, 505 E. Main St., on suspicion of two protection order violations. The first prohibits him from being in contact with the woman he was with at the time of his arrest, and the other states he shall not possess or consume controlled substances. The man was allegedly smoking marijuana and had reportedly punched the woman in the face before police arrived.

2:03 p.m. A man was issued a never-expiring ban from Conoco, 302 W. Main St., after allegedly shoplifting two cans of beer. He was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital via EMS for medical clearance.

4:47 p.m. A woman was cited with open container at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., after she and another woman were allegedly yelling at each other and fighting over a bottle of vodka. Police confiscated the alcohol.

8:01 p.m. A man and woman were cited for trespassing at Front Row Seat, 610 E. Main St., where they are banned. The man, woman and another man were located inside a vehicle they did not own in the parking lot. The owner of the vehicle moved it after being contacted by police.

Monday, Feb. 17

1:58 p.m. A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:57 p.m. One woman was cited for third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, and another woman was cited for disorderly conduct and violation of a protection order (shall not possess or consume alcohol) after they were found fighting in Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. After being medically cleared, they were transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

4:39 p.m. A man was cited for harassment and third-degree criminal trespass after going to City Market, 508 Main St., where he is banned. The man allegedly asked an employee in the parking lot for money, spitting on the employee when he was denied money. After being medically cleared, he was transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Tuesday, Feb. 18

8:21 p.m. A woman was cited for trespassing after being located at City Market, 506 E. Main St., where she is banned. The woman ran from police, but was contacted in the parking lot of the Methodist Thrift Shop, 444 E. Main St.

9:34 p.m. A man was cited for disturbing the peace after following two men from his home and fighting with them at the intersection of North Market Street and West Downey Avenue.

Wednesday, Feb. 19

6:06 p.m. A man was arrested and cited with trespassing after trying to stay on the property of The Bridge Shelter, 735 N. Park St., after being banned for 30 days for violent behavior. After being medically cleared, he was transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

6:36 p.m. A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
