7:06 a.m. A man was cited with disturbing the peace and was banned from the Maverick County Store, 455 N. State St., for comments that made employees uncomfortable.
2:07 p.m. A woman who had been banned from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of theft after officers found several unpurchased items of clothing in her bag in the store parking lot.
6:17 p.m. A man who had been banned from the area of Davita, 610 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing.
5:16 p.m. A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
5:34 p.m. An officer planned to seek an arrest warrant for a man who allegedly violated a restraint order by sending a Facebook message to a woman by proxy, the woman’s cousin. Contacted in the 300 block of N. Linden St., she said she worried about her and her daughter’s safety.
6:59 p.m. A man was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on two felony warrants after he was located at a home in the 800 block of S. Oak St. Officers also reported finding suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia.
9:39 p.m. A man was cited with trespassing at a home in Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St., and taken to The Bridge Emergency Shelter, 735 N. Park St.
10:41 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing and disturbing the peace after allegedly threatening two women with a knife in the parking lot of the American Legion, 320 N. Harrison St. A bartender reportedly stood between the women until police arrived. The woman was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center after being medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital.
1:48 p.m. An officer planned to seek the arrest of a woman on suspicion of second-degree assault, domestic violence and failure to remain at the scene of an accident involving injury after a man was hit by a car near Mesa Elementary School, 703 W. Seventh St. A witness said a woman in an Impala had followed the man, yelling at him, before hitting him with the car. The man provided police with texts sent by the woman.
4:29 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and resisting arrest/interfering an officer at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., where he is banned. At the Montezuma County Detention Center, suspected meth was found on him.
8:17 p.m. Two people were arrested at the American Legion, 320 N. Harrison St., on suspicion of inciting a fight. A man was arrested on suspicion of harassment, protection order violation, disorderly conduct and obstructing a peace officer, and a woman was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. She reportedly “beat up” two other women at the location, and the man reportedly joined the fight. He also is restrained from being around minors, and there were children at the event. Both were taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
8:37 p.m. A man was arrested at The Bridge Emergency Shelter, 735 N. Park St., on suspicion of unlawful distribution, manufacturing, dispensing or sale of a controlled substance.
11:36 a.m. A man was cited with shoplifting food items at City Market, 508 E. Main St.
3:17 p.m. A woman banned from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing there.
12:01 p.m. A woman was cited with a summons after being located in Denny’s, 2059 E. Main Street, where she is banned.
12:33 p.m. A woman was cited with trespassing at Denny’s, 2059 E. Main St., and at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. She had been banned from both properties.
5:55 p.m. A man was arrested outside Slaven’s True Value Hardware, 237 W. Main St., on suspicion of resisting arrest and interfering with an officer. He was found unconscious on a pile of roofing supplies. He had a large cut above his right eyebrow that required EMS attention and was thought to be intoxicated. After attempting to fight with the officer, EMS and fire personnel, he was medically cleared, then taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
9:01 p.m. A man turned himself in to police at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.
7:09 a.m. A man was arrested at White Eagle Inn, 2110 S. Broadway, on suspicion of disturbing the peace after reports that he was yelling in his room and in the parking lot. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital, then taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, where he submitted a BRAC sample of 0.279.
9:06 a.m. A man was arrested at McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St., on suspicion of possessing fentanyl, a schedule II drug, and drug paraphernalia after two men found him “slumped” in a vehicle in the parking lot.
12:00 p.m. A man was cited with trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St., where he is banned.
12:22 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant near the Church of Christ, 631 E. Montezuma Ave., and taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
2:06 p.m. A woman was arrested near La Casita, 332 E. Main St., on five warrants. After being medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital, she was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
5:26 p.m. A man was cited with theft at White Eagle Inn, 2110 South Broadway, after a woman reported that packages had been stolen by two men from her apartment in the 10 block of South Ash Street. The officer could not find the second man.
7:52 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at White Eagle Inn, 2110 S. Broadway.
8:47 a.m. An officer served a warrant to a woman at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
3:06 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at City Market, 508 E. Main St., for failure to appear in court.
3:32 p.m. A man was arrested during a traffic stop at North Madison Street and East North Street on five warrants. He was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
10:40 p.m. A man was arrested at the Lakeside Lanes Bowling Alley, 410 Lakeside Drive, on suspicion of violating a protection order that states he must not possess or consume alcoholic beverages. At the Montezuma County Detention Center, he gave a breath sample of BRAC 0.135.
