Wednesday, Sept. 28

12:01 a.m.: A male driver was pulled over at County Roads 25 and G because of a dirty license plate. He was cited for failing to show proof of insurance and driving with canceled license. His passenger was arrested on a warrant.

2:10 a.m.: A car was pulled over in the 500 block of E. Second St. after squealing its tires, and a passenger was arrested on a warrant.

5:22 a.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree trespass after he entered another person’s truck in the 100 block of N. Pinon Drive.

10:23 a.m.: A man was served two warrants while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:42 a.m.: A man reported that his $175 radio had been stolen from a worksite in the 1900 block of Kaleigh Circle.

11:04 a.m.: A man reported that his bicycle had been stolen from his front yard, in the 10 block of S. Elm St.

12:06 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

1:09 p.m.: A deputy served three women with warrants at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:36 p.m.: A man was served a warrant at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

3:34 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant at the Rocky Mountain Offender Management office, 215 N. Linden St.

4:04 p.m.: A man was arrested on two warrants at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

Thursday, Sept. 29

12:39 a.m.: A woman was arrested in the area of Centennial Park, 870 E. Montezuma Ave., on suspicion of underage drinking, disturbing the peace, and a warrant related to underage drinking.

10:09 a.m.: A woman was served a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

1:30 p.m.: A woman was arrested on suspicion of harassment after a dispute with a neighbor on his porch in the 600 block of S. Washington St.

4:28 p.m.: A woman was cited for driving with a canceled license and harassment after allegedly cursing and throwing a pen at employees of Check into Cash, 215 S. Sligo St.

5:19 p.m.: A man reported that cell phone and wallet were stolen from a locker at the Cortez Rec Center, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave.

10:21 p.m.: A male driver was stopped at Henry and E. Main St. because of a missing front license plate. He was arrested on an active warrant.

Friday, Sept. 30

9:10 a.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:30 a.m.: A man was cited for possessing an open container of alcohol in Parque de Vida, 1200 E. Montezuma Ave.

1:15 p.m.: A man was being sought on suspicion of shoplifting and violating a no-trespass order after allegedly stealing a $2 Mr. Goodbar candy bar at Wal-Mart.

2:56 p.m.: A man and woman were cited for possessing alcohol in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.

Saturday, Oct. 1

12:37 a.m.: One man was arrested on an active warrant, and his companion was cited for possessing alcohol at the McAndrew field restroom, 445 N. Roger Smith Ave.

1:20 a.m.: After a report of a trespass at a residence in the 1500 block of Arrowhead Lane, a man was arrested at HandyMart, located at 806 S. Broadway, on two warrants and suspicion of possessing a controlled drug, false reporting to police and introducing contraband at the jail. Another man, whose mother owns the residence on Arrowhead Lane, was found in a pickup truck. He was arrested on two warrants, and his mother took possession of the truck.

5:27 p.m.: A male driver was pulled over in the 200 block of S. Sligo St. on suspicion of speeding 45 mph in a 30 mph zone. He was arrested on an active warrant.

Sunday, Oct. 2

3:02 a.m.: A woman who was parking her car in the 200 block of E. Seventh St. was arrested on a warrant and cited for possessing drug paraphernalia.

10:59 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant after a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 600 block of S. Washington St.

11:53 a.m.: A driver in a van was arrested on U.S. Highway 160 near the Four Corners Rifle and Pistol Range after a police chase that reached 100 mph. He was arrested on suspicion of eluding a police officer, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, using red and blue emergency lights, and passing a vehicle on the shoulder of the road. “He said people were after him, had killed his sister in-law and he had some covert things going on.”

Monday, Oct. 3

2:34 a.m.: A woman reported that she found a bicycle in the 200 block of E. Seventh St.

10:20 a.m.: A woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after appearing intoxicated at Cortez Municipal Court. Here marijuana pipe was destroyed.

1:56 p.m.: Two men were served warrants while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:20 p.m.: A woman was served two warrants in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:02 p.m.: An officer planned to seek an arrest warrant for third-degree assault after a report of domestic violence at a residence in the 1300 block of Animas St.

11:35 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 400 block of S. Market St. on suspicion of DUI, driving with a revoked license and failing to drive in a single lane.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

12:18 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 600 block of E. Main St. on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, and failing to drive in a single lane.

8:55 a.m.: A man was served a warrant while in custody at the Montezuma County jail, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:50 p.m.: A man was arrested for violating bail conditions prohibiting him from possessing alcohol after a report of a man yelling at a tree in the100 block of N. Washington St.

4:25 p.m.: Two men were served warrants at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred St.

11:26 p.m.: A man was pulled over in the 700 block of S. Beech St. because of an expired temporary permit. He was arrested on an active warrant.
