Thursday, Oct. 31

9:41 a.m. An officer took a report for stolen campaign signs from a woman in the 1000 block of North Mildred Road.

12:50 p.m. An officer was dispatched to serve three warrants to a man in the 200 block of S. Madison St. The officers report states the man was arrested without incident, although the officer was nervous because the man is trained as an amateur boxer. While looking for the man, the officer stated he noticed a machete on the toilet while standing between a bathroom and bedroom doors and the man requested to use the bathroom before being arrested by two officers.

1:51 p.m. An officer cited a woman with running at large for her dog that was caught the fourth day running around in the 300 block of E. Arbecam.

2:10 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a felony warrant near G Whil Liquors, 24001 Road G.2.

2:28 p.m. An officer arrested a man on two warrants at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.

10:38 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on a warrant in the 400 block of S. Madison St.

Friday, Nov. 1

10:39 a.m. An officer cited a man with driving while ability impaired, driving without a valid driver's license, failing to drive in a single lane, and careless driving in the 700 block of Mildred Road.

2:09 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant and cited him with possession of alcohol in the park and open container at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.

1:17 p.m. An officer cited a woman with trespassing at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.

2:39 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant in the 400 block of W. Third St.

3:45 p.m. Officers arrested two women at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. One woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that states she shall not possess or consume alcohol and cited with trespassing, open container and possession of alcohol in the park. The other woman was arrested on four warrants.

7:419 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of DUI, drove while license revoked, careless driving, failing to provide proof of insurance, criminal mischief, obstruction, resisting arrest, and possessed open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. The man was found in his car after it was crashed on the side of the road at the intersection of North Broadway and Lebanon Road.

5:12 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, owner-operated uninsured motor vehicle and reckless driving in the 500 block of South Broadway.

6:28 p.m. An officer cited a man with trespassing at Speedway, 921 E. Main St.

Saturday, Nov. 2

1:02 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on a warrant at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.

7:09 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of violating an alcohol protection order who was reported by a concerned citizen who watched the man stumbling across the highway near Blondie’s Trophy Room, 45 E. Main St.

7:45 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on a warrant and cited her with child restraint violation, failing to provide proof of insurance, driver’s vision obstructed through windshield and number plates not clearly legible in the 700 block of E. Main St.

11:52 p.m. An officer took a report for an expired registration traffic stop where the man driving fled the scene in the 10 block of E. Main St. The officers report states he would be seeking an arrest warrant for the man on suspicion of civil protection order violation, obstructing a peace officer and displayed expired number plates.

Sunday, Nov. 3

8:57 a.m. An officer took a report for a traffic stop on a truck with a severely cracked windshield obstructing the driver’s vision at 806 S. Oak St. The officer arrested a male passenger on a warrant and let the driver of the vehicle off with a verbal warning.

Monday, Nov. 4

6:59 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant near the Cortez Cemetery, 27441 U.S. Highway 160.

12:17 p.m. An officer cited a woman with trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. The woman said she knew she was trespassed but needed to use the restroom so she went into the store to do so.

Tuesday, Nov. 5

9:51 a.m. An officer arrested a man on three warrants in front of Mountain Annie’s Dispensary, 310 E. Main St.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

11:42 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant and cited him with driving under revoked license, speeding 31 mph in a posted 15 mph school zone, and failing to present proof of insurance at the Handymart, 806 S. Broadway.

4:38 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant who was turning himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

8:49 p.m. An officer was dispatched to arrest a man on a warrant who was turning himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

8:52 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of violating two protection orders at the Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St. The officer also served her a citation for trespassing notice from a property in the 800 block of S. Broadway.
