Thursday, Aug. 22

8:53 a.m. An officer cited a woman with running at large for her unleashed and roaming dog at the Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St.

9:46 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

2:59 p.m. An officer took a report for a theft of a government fleet gas card and binoculars from a vehicle parked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 201 Pinon Drive.

6:30 p.m. An officer cited a man with trespassing after employees observed a couple taking price tags off shoes and attempting to walk out of the store with food at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. The woman was issued a never-expiring trespass notice.

Friday, Aug. 23

5:21 p.m. An officer arrested a man who was reportedly screaming and swinging a metal bar in the 100 block of E. Main St. The man was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

7:16 p.m. A man was cited with trespassing at the Church of Christ, 631 E. Montezuma Ave.

7:47 p.m. An officer cited a man with trespassing at the Sleeping Ute Apartments, 516 S. Madison St.

11:04 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and felony menacing after an officer responded to a call about a woman threatening people with a knife and saying she was going to get her gun and come back and shoot them at Burger Boy, 400 E. Main St.

11:30 p.m. An officer served four warrants to a woman turning herself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Saturday, Aug. 24

10:51 a.m. An officer arrested an intoxicated man who admitted to assaulting a 68-year-old man with a golf club. The officer’s report stated the man said “he could have hit him with the golf club more but decided to stop and that he was defending himself” at 117 E. Third St. The man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault. The officer’s report states the victim’s injury report showed serious bodily injuries to his left hand, left cheek, left ear and a fractured left rib.

3:26 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of DUI, failing to provide proof of insurance, careless driving, open container, duty upon striking unattended property, violation of a protection order, and obstructing a peace officer at the Speedway, 921 E. Main St. The man reportedly threatened to kill a man at the gas station before grabbing a pint-size bottle of vodka and drinking half of it and then backing into a vehicle, leaving the area, then almost hitting a wheelchair-bound pedestrian on South Harrison Street and being reported for running over a mailbox belonging to Durango Organics, in the 1000 block of East Main Street.

5:15 p.m. An officer cited a man and woman with trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Sunday, Aug. 25

8:55 a.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of trespassing when the officer heard loud banging from the man throwing rocks at a fence behind the Chevron Gas Station, 717 S. Broadway.

Monday, Aug. 26

11:30 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and obstructing an officer at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. The reporting officer stated he witnessed the man urinating in the northwest corner of the park while being surrounded by numerous patrons of the park.

Tuesday, Aug. 27

9:31 a.m. An officer cited a man at Arby’s, 504 S. Broadway who was unable to provide documentation proving his dog received a rabies vaccine from a veterinarian’s office because it went out of business.

12:38 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of disturbing the peace at City Hall, 123 N. Roger Smith Ave. The officers report states that City Hall staff reported the man was ransacking the bathroom, and pedestrians on Main Street reported the man’s behavior before that incident and he was also seen in the parking lot at Walmart yelling obscenities and using disruptive language.

2:16 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence at the CU Center, 25 N. Market St. The officers report states that a man said the woman has been harassing him everyday around lunchtime since they broke up a month before her arrest, the woman stated she has been stalking and following the man and they were in a relationship for 2-3 months.

7:45 p.m. An officer cited a woman with theft at the Happy Valley Trailer Park, 203 E. Seventh St.

Wednesday, Aug. 28

5:36 a.m. An officer responded to a report of a woman throwing rocks damaging a store employee’s car and she refused to leave the store, he arrested the woman on a warrant and suspicion of criminal mischief, she was also issued a trespass notice at the Handymart, 806 S. Broadway. The officer stated in the report that the woman had bond conditions that state she shall not possess or consume alcohol and because she was screaming while slamming her body against the jail cell door and because of her body odor he couldn’t determine whether she was intoxicated.

8:21 a.m. An officer cited a man with trespassing at Denny’s, 2059 E. Main St.

8:57 p.m. An officer took a report for property damage at the Loungin’ Lizard, 2 W. Main St.

12:24 p.m. An officer arrested a woman in the 300 block of S. Linden Street after a report of a silver SUV tailgating, honking and shouting at a dark colored SUV heading north on Maple Street toward Main Street. The woman was arrested on suspicion of harassment, domestic violence and following too closely, the arresting officer stated in his report that the woman said it wasn’t illegal to honk her horn, she would not answer the officer’s questions and when the officer mentioned there was a restraining order she said it wasn’t true.

3:28 p.m. An officer served four warrants to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:30 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a man turning himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:18 p.m. An officer arrested a man on six warrants after receiving a report of a man sitting on the northwest corner of the parking lot flipping people off and yelling at them as they passed him at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

10:44 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a woman turning herself into the custody of the at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Thursday, Aug. 29

1:17 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, failure to present proof of insurance, drove without a valid license, drove a defective vehicle, possessed open marijuana container in motor vehicle, illegal consumption of alcohol by underage person, illegal possession of marijuana by underage person, and illegal possession of marijuana paraphernalia by underage person at 10 S. Market St.
