Tuesday, Aug. 13

8:15 p.m. An officer responding to a report of a man harassing customers at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., arrested the man on a warrant and issued him a summons for trespassing.

10:55 p.m. An officer responding to a call for unwanted people arrested a man on a warrant at Loops Coffee House & Bistro, 318 E. Main St.

Wednesday, Aug. 14

10:50 a.m. An officer executed a warrant to a woman turning herself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:35 a.m. An officer cited a woman with maintenance of animals that disturb the peace after receiving numerous reports from neighbors complaining of her dogs’ incessant barking at 705 San Juan Drive.

7:50 p.m. An officer arrested a man who reportedly was hiding in the bushes and yelling at passersby at the Cortez Recreation Center, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave. The man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, obstructing and third-degree trespass. The officer stated in his report that the man immediately got agitated and began acting frantic when the officer told him he would receive a citation. The man began to resist officers and started eating mulch while making lunges as if he would fight the officer. During the ride to the hospital for medical clearance, the man reportedly spit on the officer through the cab partition, while verbally threatening the officer.

10:13 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and weaving after the officer observed a vehicle driving erratically and initiated a routine traffic stop in the 1700 block of E. Main St.

10:25 p.m. An officer cited a man with trespassing at Walgreens, 1671 E. Main St.

11:56 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on two warrants and cited a man with trespassing and arrested him on a warrant at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Thursday, Aug. 15

4:36 a.m. An officer observed a car parked at the fuel pump station without anyone outside of the vehicle at the City Market Fuel Center, 506 E. Main St. The officer found a man and woman asleep in the car, with paraphernalia in plain sight. The officer cited the woman with criminal possession of a forged instrument, unlawful possession of less than 4 grams of a controlled substance, criminal possession of an identification document, criminal possession of a financial device, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The officer cited the man with criminal possession of identification documents, criminal possession of a financial device, third-degree criminal trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia.

11:10 a.m. An officer served a warrant to a man who was being transferred into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:26 p.m. An officer trespassed a woman from the Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., for the remainder of the day for possessing alcohol in the park. The officer also arrested a man on suspicion of violating conditions of his bond that state he shall not consume or possess alcohol. The officer also arrested a different woman on a warrant.

7:59 p.m. Officers cited a man and woman with never-expiring trespass notices at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Friday, Aug. 16

2:58 a.m. An officer arrested a man on two warrants, and suspicion of driving a vehicle while license revoked and protection order violation in the 300 block of S. Valley Road.

5:09 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant near the Manaugh School, 300 E. 4th St.

10:19 a.m. An officer issued a man a 30-day trespass notice and arrested him on suspicion of trespassing and disturbing the peace at City Hall, 123 N. Roger Smith Ave.

7:24 p.m. An officer cited a woman with open container and possession of alcohol in the park, the man she was with was cited with violating an alcohol restraining order for possession of alcohol in the park and open container, he was also arrested on a warrant at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.

Saturday, Aug. 17

5:08 a.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of violating an alcohol restraining order that states he shall not possess or consume alcohol in the 1200 block of Acoma St.

9:08 a.m. An officer responded to a shoplifting incident at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., the suspected male reportedly was trespassed from Walmart before the shoplifting incident and the officer stated in his report that he would be seeking a warrant for the man.

2:13 p.m. An officer cited a woman with trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Sunday, Aug. 18

3:09 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on two warrants at the Econo Lodge, 2020 E. Main St.

7:16 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.

Monday, Aug. 19

1:26 a.m. An officer took a report for a suspected but unfounded DWI in the 300 block of E. Main St.

8:33 p.m. An officer took a report of a suspected break-in at the city of Cortez Service Center, 111 Progress Circle.

10:09 a.m. An officer arrested a woman remanded by the Municipal Court, 125 N. Roger Smith Ave.,

10:14 a.m. An officer cited a woman with shoplifting and issued her a never-expiring trespass notice at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

10:22 a.m. An officer served three men remanded by the courts warrants issued for their arrest at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:34 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of a felony DUI, driving under revocation, obstruction of a peace officer, open marijuana container and two warrants at the City Pool, 803 E. Montezuma Ave.

9:13 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a felony warrant at the Speedway, 2021 E. Main St.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

12:15 a.m. An officer responded to a report of a woman screaming in the middle of the roadway at the intersection of MacArthur Avenue and Broadway. The officer reported that after investigating the incident he would be requesting warrants for three individuals based on information obtained when speaking with the woman for persons at the Cozy Inn, 440 S. Broadway.

4:06 p.m. An officer arrested a man and woman on suspicion of violating protection orders against each other that state no contact no exceptions at St. Barnabas Episcopal, 110 W. North St. The man was also cited with violation of an alcohol and controlled substances restraining order.

8:29 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant and cited him with driving on a revoked license in the 700 block of N. Mildred Road.

11:01 p.m. An officer cited a man with trespassing at The Pie Maker, 17 N. Harrison St.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

8:21 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 347 S. Maple St.
