Saturday, June 1

6:05 p.m. An officer took a report for vehicle damage from a woman at 10 W. Fifth St.

10:12 p.m. An officer took a report for stolen firearms at Brandon’s Gate Townhomes, 1630 Gateway Drive. A man reported that his green handled Glock 19, 9 mm handgun and a camouflage-printed Ruger 10/22 long rifle and the rifle’s Mossy Oak carrying bag were stolen from his work vehicle.

11:53 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant after an officer made a routine traffic stop for a headlight out near the Skate Park, 1200 E. Montezuma Ave.

Sunday, June 2

8:58 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence after placing a call saying a woman threw hot sauce at him in a room at the Quality Inn, 1120 E. Main St.

12:49 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant at 240 S. Madison St.

4:58 p.m. A man was cited with failure to present proof of insurance, driving a vehicle under suspension, and having no number plates attached at Oaks Meadow Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St. The man’s passenger was arrested on a warrant.

7:49 p.m. An officer issued a man and woman a summons for trespassing at Liquid Assets Liquor Store, 718 E. Main St.

11 p.m. A man was arrested on three counts of protection order violations at the Colorado West Trailer Park, 1410 N. Mildred Road.

Monday, June 3

6:39 a.m. A man and woman who were found sleeping in a man’s shed were cited with nonexpiring trespass notices from a property in the 1300 block of E. North St.

11:11 a.m. A man with a warrant for possession of alcohol in the park was arrested at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. He was cited with possession of alcohol in the park and open container.

12:28 p.m. An officer arrested an intoxicated man who was reportedly cursing at people as they entered and exited the City Market, 508 E. Main St. The man was arrested on a warrant.

2:58 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of shoplifting at Liquid Assets Liquor Store, 718 E. Main St.

Tuesday, June 4

4:18 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of littering, open container, and for violation of bond conditions at 507 W. Third St.

Wednesday, June 5

7:43 a.m. An officer took a report for a stolen Ruger SP101 .357 Magnum from a man in the 500 block of Main Street.

10:44 a.m. An officer arrested a woman for three warrants at the Brubaker Place Apartments, 691 Wyoming St. The woman was also issued a trespass notice from the property.

10:22 p.m. A man who was reported by witnesses hitting a truck in the parking lot at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was cited with disturbing the peace.

Thursday, June 6

12:18 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and an alcohol- protection order violation at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.

8:22 a.m. An officer took a report for fraud from a woman at Speedway, 2320 E. Main St.

1:50 p.m. An officer took a report for a stolen bike from a woman who resides at Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St. The officer visited KP Pawn after the woman reportedly was told that a bike matching her description was brought into the business but turned away as it was clearly stolen. The KP Pawn representative suggested she try a neighboring pawnshop. The bike was located on the patio at Blue Door Traders, the officer was given the information of the two men after surveillance video proved that they brought in the woman’s missing bike, a unicycle, and a BMX bike to sell. The officer stated in his report that he would be requesting warrants for the arrest of both men for theft and giving false information to a pawnbroker.

Thursday, June 6

4:28 p.m. An unconscious man who was reportedly laying in the yard of a property in the 1100 block of Catalpa St. was arrested on a warrant after a welfare check was made.

4:52 p.m. A woman was issued a summons for trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Friday, June 7

5:03 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on a warrant who was turning herself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

6:17 p.m. Two men were arrested on multiple warrants at 4x4 Auto Sales, 1551 South Broadway. One man was arrested on five warrants, and the other man was arrested on eight warrants. According to the officer’s report, the man who had given his information to the business to test-drive the vehicle reportedly called the business stating that he “heard on the scanner that he had stolen the vehicle, he said he did not steal the vehicle and that he was on his way back to return it.”

10:01 p.m. An officer responding to a reported disturbance at City Market, found the man who was the cause of the disturbance report at The Pie Maker, 17 N. Harrison St. The man was arrested on a warrant.

10:23 p.m. A man was arrested on two warrants near the Cortez Welcome Center, 928 E. Main St. The officer stated in his report that the man was to be arrested on bond conditions instead of a warrant, the officer then stated that he came across the man the next day at Veterans Park and served him the corrected summons.

Saturday, June 8

3:44 a.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant at the Best Western Turquoise, 535 E. Main St.

12:26 p.m. An officer served trespass notices to two men who were dumping trash in the dumpsters at the Oaks Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St.

5:21 p.m. An officer cited two men with trespassing at the Front Row Seat, 610 E. Main St.

9:15 p.m. A man was arrested at 403 N. Henry St. on suspicion of violating a protection order that states he may not consume or possess alcohol or controlled substances.

11:36 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Sunday, June 9

2 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, and driving without a valid driver’s license at the Cortez Mobile Estates, 621 N. Elm St.

8:52 a.m. An officer cited three men with trespassing at Front Row Seat, 610 E. Main St.

11:05 a.m. An officer took a report for a stolen vehicle at 123 N. Linden St.

2:08 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant and a woman was cited with careless driving in the 400 block of W. Seventh St. The woman’s vehicle struck the man’s vehicle as he was waiting for traffic to pass his entrance to allow him to park in his driveway. The woman stated in the officers report that she was not paying attention as she was watching a man walk down his driveway in the neighborhood she was driving through.
