6:54 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing at 921 E. Main St.

2:56 p.m. A woman reported two Echo Chainsaws stolen from the back of her pickup truck at 24 N. Texas St.

5:22 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order at 518 E. Fourth St.

Friday, Dec. 29

1:07 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree arson and criminal mischief after a report of a man lighting a dumpster on fire at 100 W. Main St. was made.

5:46 a.m. An officer took a report for a criminal traffic violation at 1001 E. Second St.

11:42 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at 17 N. Harrison St.

12:28 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at 210 E. Main St.

4:12 p.m. A woman was cited with careless driving causing bodily injury at 2101 S. Broadway after a report was made for a car accident she caused from adjusting house plants in her passenger seat.

3:48 p.m. An officer took a report for larceny in the 2000 block of Fairway Drive.

9:29 p.m. A man was placed on a felony hold slip and arrested under suspicion of violating an alcohol protection order, second-degree assault on a peace officer, harassment for taunting a peace officer, and resisting arrest at 309 N. Broadway.

11:54 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, failing to present proof of insurance, driving a vehicle without a valid license and driving a defective vehicle at 505 E. Main St.

Saturday, Dec. 30

10:10 a.m. A man was cited with trespassing at 17 N. Harrison St.

2:01 p.m. A man was arrested at 1311 N. Mildred Road on suspicion of violating a protection order that states he shall not consume or possess alcohol.

4:23 p.m. A man reported a Santa Cruz Tallboy bicycle and a Smith & Wesson handgun as stolen from his storage unit at 1221 E. Main St.

5:06 p.m. A man was arrested on two warrants at 215 W. Second St.

5:31 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at 1310 Jackson St.

8:58 p.m. A man and woman were arrested on two sets of individual warrants at 80 S. Harrison St.

9:56 p.m. A woman was charged with DUI, DUI per se, failing to present proof of insurance, displaying an expired temporary permit, possessing and open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle, and driving a defective vehicle at 100 E. Main St.

Sunday, Dec. 31

8:40 a.m. An officer took a report for a shoplifting incident at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

12:46 p.m. A man reported a .45 caliper ACP 1911 handgun and cash stolen from his vehicle in the 2200 block of Hawkins St.

9:45 p.m. A man was arrested under suspicion of violating a no contact protection order at 516 S. Madison St.

Monday, Jan. 1

7:28 a.m. A woman was arrested under suspicion of third-degree assault, violation of a protection order, domestic violence, and illegal possession of ethyl alcohol by an underage person at 310 S. Madison St.

8:08 a.m. A man reported larceny from his vehicle in the 800 block of Cornett St.

9:06 a.m. A man was arrested under suspicion of burglary and criminal mischief for an incident caught on surveillance cameras at 439 E. Main St.

2:40 p.m. A woman reported damage to her property in the 500 block of S. Beech St.

7:21 p.m. A man was arrested on four warrants and was cited with a protection order violation that states he shall not consume or possess alcohol, and resisting arrest at 508 E. Main St.

9:53 p.m. A man was arrested on two warrants while he was at the bonding window of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Monday, Jan. 2

1:45 a.m. Two men who were reported to have stolen a 24-pack of Modelo beer were arrested on suspicion of violating protection orders that state they shall not consume or possess alcohol and both were issued non-expiring trespass notices from Maverik, 455 N. State St.

10:46 a.m. A man reported graffiti damage to his property at 133 E. Fifth St.

11:37 p.m. A man was arrested under suspicion of third-degree assault, harassment, criminal mischief, and domestic violence against his girlfriend of twelve years at 505 E. Second St.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

6:12 a.m. An officer was responding to a report of a simple assault after a man was punched in the face at 735 N. Park St. A man was cited with third-degree assault for punching a man in the face. The assaulted man was seen on surveillance footage brushing his teeth aggressively over the man while he was eating his breakfast. The assaulted man was cited with harassment.

10:43 a.m. An officer took a report for larceny from a vehicle in the 800 block of N. Sligo St. The reporting man forgot to lock his truck after taking groceries inside his residence.

2:27 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of menacing, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct for swerving into the bike lane and yelling profanities at a man riding his bicycle who was waving him to turn in the 100 block of N. Park St.

5:29 p.m. A woman who was traffic stopped on a reported drunken driver call, and two of her passengers were arrested on warrants in the 1300 block of E. Main St.

9:43 p.m. A man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of La Plata County in the 500 block of E. Seventh St.
