12:25 p.m. An officer took a report for burglary at 600 block of N. Chestnut St.
2:53 p.m. A man who was reported as a missing person was arrested on an extraditable warrant out of Kansas and placed into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
6:02 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant after reportedly leaving his debit card at the gas station at 921 E. Main St. The officer tracked down the man’s address to return his card and discovered that the man had an active warrant out for his arrest.
6:31 p.m. A man turned himself in for a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
7:49 p.m. A woman who was reportedly chasing a man around topless was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that states she shall not possess or consume alcohol 508 E. Main St.
9:48 p.m. A man who was reporting a disturbance at the 2600 block of Fairway Drive was arrested on a warrant.
1:48 a.m. A man who was disturbing customers at the Denny’s, 2059 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of violating a trespass order and violating bond conditions.
8:45 a.m. An officer took a report from a woman who was missing her license plate off her vehicle at the 100 block of S. Washington Street.
10:28 a.m. An officer took a report for theft at 30 E. Main St.
10:46 a.m. An officer after noticing debris that was tied down falling off the roof of a car did not have any registration displayed proceeded to investigate. The driver was then cited with owner operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to display valid registration, driving under FRA suspension, and then his car was towed at 700 W. Seventh St.
10:51 a.m. An officer took a report for damaged property at 490 S. Broadway.
12:40 p.m. A man was arrested on the suspicion of violating a protection order stating that he shall not possess or consume alcoholic beverages or controlled substances at the 800 block of E. Montezuma Avenue.
9:46 p.m. A man who was sleeping in the truck bed of an unknown persons vehicle was trespassed from Walmart and told to vacate the property after being trespassed two days prior, he was cited with another trespassing citation, a short time later the officer was notified that a man fitting his description had stolen a beer at Safeway and turned himself in to management and was requesting to be booked into the Montezuma County Detention Center, the man was cited again with trespassing at 1580 E. Main St. The officer gave him a courtesy ride to the southern edge of Cortez at the man’s request so he could make his way to Shiprock.
2:42 p.m. A man was arrested under suspicion of violating a protection order to abstain from possessing and consuming alcohol and for theft of less than three hundred dollars at 1835 E. Main St.
2:55 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that states he shall not possess or consume alcohol at 444 E. Main St.
5:08 p.m. A man was cited with a trespassing summons after an officer was dispatched to 508 E. Main St. when reports of a man shoplifted a rotisserie chicken and Hawaiian bread buns were made.
7:26 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating bond conditions and for having an open container at 425 N. Roger Smith Ave.
8:31 p.m. An officer arrested two men after a report of a shoplifting incident was reported by City Market, 508 E. Main St. One man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order, theft, and third-degree criminal trespassing. The other man was arrested for suspicion of a protection order violation and theft.
3:36 a.m. A man was cited with trespassing at 1835 E. Main St., the officer gave him a courtesy ride home.
8:32 a.m. An officer took a report of assault from a man at 1322 E. Main St.
10:26 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at 400 W. Third St.
11:37 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and trespassing at 921 E. Main St.
8:58 a.m. An officer collected a bike and rack to be placed into evidence from 1100 Cochita Drive.
10:30 a.m. An officer took a report of damaged property from a woman whose car showed signs of damage at 1311 N. Mildred Road.
10:43 a.m. An officer gave a man a ride who was running from the County courthouse to the Municipal courthouse from 608 N. Market St., soon after the officer transported him to the Montezuma County Detention Center, when it was discovered he had a warrant.
1:34 p.m. An officer took a report of theft /larceny from a vehicle at 2604 E. Main St.
9:56 a.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center at 730 E. Driscoll St.
2:42 p.m. An officer took a report for theft at the 600 block of N. Park St. the items reported stolen were a set of kitchen knives, two crowbars, a DeWalt power drill, and a Stihl weed wacker.
8:33 p.m. A man was cited with theft for taking a monster energy drink and a pack of cigarettes, and trespassed indefinitely from the Speedway at 921 E. Main St.
9:02 p.m. A man was arrested on four warrants at 516 S. Madison St.
9:34 p.m. An officer took a report for the theft of three pairs of sunglasses at 455 N. State St.
3:22 p.m. A man was arrested after a report for a burglary in progress was made in the 700 block of Birch Drive. In the man’s attempt to flee he left his bag that contained small tools used to gain entry into a building, a container with pills, a jar with a crystalline substance that tested positive for meth, tools from the residence he was trying to take were strewed on the roof and fence of the property. The man was arrested under suspicion of unlawful possession of Schedule II controlled substances, resisting arrest, possession of burglary tools, and obstructing a peace officer. The man was also issued a felony hold slip for second degree burglary and was served two warrants for his arrest.
3:23 p.m. An officer served two warrants to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center at 730 E. Driscoll St.
