8:42 a.m. An employee of Four Corners Community Bank, 77 W. Main St., found a counterfeit bill in a deposit from Country Gas, 12360 U.S. Highway 491.
1:12 p.m. An electric bike was found at St. Margaret Mary Church, 28 E. Montezuma Ave., and was turned over to an officer.
1:18 p.m. A woman took a wallet from the parking lot of Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., that a woman had accidentally dropped earlier in the day.
4:57 p.m. Two women who were in physical fight in the 800 block of East Main Street were arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and unlawful conduct on public property. One of the woman was cited with violating a protection order. A man who hit another man trying to stop the fight was arrested on suspicion of assault.
1:28 a.m. A woman behind Dolores State Bank, 744 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order.
11:17 a.m. A man at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., was arrested on a warrant.
8:07 a.m. A man noticed his tools were missing from the back of his truck in the 500 block of East Second Street and a woman in the 600 block of East Second Street noticed her car was missing. The value of the taken items is $1,000 and the car is valued at $5,000. The car was found in the parking lot of the Baymont Inn, 2279 Hawkins St., and the woman’s purse was missing from it.
11:36 a.m. A man who joined the woman picking up her stolen vehicle from the Baymont Inn, 2279 Hawkins St., was arrested on two warrants.
5:16 p.m. A man at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing.
10:46 p.m. A woman at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was cited with shoplifting.
2:39 a.m. A man in the 400 block of North Broadway was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving without license, resisting arrest, possessing an open container in a vehicle and failure to present insurance.
10:20 p.m. A man at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was cited with shoplifting.
7:33 a.m. A man paid with a counterfeit $50 at the City Market gas station, 506 E. Main St.
11:39 a.m. A woman reported a series of books went missing from the Cortez Cultural Center, 25 N. Market St. The books are valued at $1,317.
12:02 p.m. A man in the 600 block of East Main Street was cited with trespassing and was arrested on a warrant.
4:39 p.m. A man in the 300 block of East Empire Street was arrested on a warrant.
7:55 p.m. Five storage units at R&L U-Stor-It, 530 N. State St., were broken into and one of the units had stuff taken from it.
8:55 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
7:34 a.m. A woman noticed her wallet was missing and believed it was stolen from her vehicle in the 100 block of South Harrison Street when it was broken into on Saturday, Sept. 16.
1:39 p.m. A man in the 500 block of East Main Street was cited with shoplifting from City Market, 508 E. Main St.
4:32 p.m. A man who hit a light pole in the 100 block of North Pinion Drive was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
7:47 p.m. A man near the intersection of Melrose Street and Montelores Avenue heard a gunshot and found a dog that had been shot in the head. The dog was taken to an animal shelter, where it recovered well enough to not need to be euthanized.
10:09 p.m. A man in the 600 block of East Main Street was arrested on three warrants and cited with resisting arrest and underage drinking.
10:34 a.m. An officer served three warrants to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
