2:30 a.m. A man who allegedly was taking things from inside cars was approached by an officer while inside a truck at 505 E. Second Street. The man noticed the officer and ran. Near the intersection of Park and East Second streets, the officer arrested him on suspicion of theft, trespassing and obstruction.
11:29 a.m. A man on the patio of 24 N. Madison St. was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order.
1:56 p.m. A woman made friends with a man on Twitter who claimed to have won the lottery and wanted to share his winnings with those in need. The man paid off $3,500 of the woman's credit card debt and then requested she buy gift cards to give to charities. The woman purchased an estimated $3,000 in gift cards and sent photos of the cards to the man. When the woman tried to use the gift cards she found all of them had no money left. It was unclear if the woman has lost money to a fraud scheme.
6:04 p.m. A man parked outside of Cork N’ Bottle, 443 W. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving without a valid license
7:42 p.m. A man driving 45 mph in a 30 mph zone was pulled over in the 500 block of North Washington Street. The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a dangerous weapon, prohibited use of weapons, failure to provide insurance, driving under the influence, speeding, displaying expired plates, driving a defective vehicle and possessing an open container in a vehicle.
9:38 a.m. An officer served a warrant to woman in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
11:14 a.m. An officer served a warrant to man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
1:58 p.m. A woman turned herself over to the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a warrant.
4:24 p.m. An intoxicated woman at Denny Lake Park, 2825 E. Main St., was yelling at another woman who was attending a funeral event. The intoxicated woman was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of violating a protection order.
6:33 p.m. A woman who failed to shoplift from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was arrested on a warrant.
11:13 p.m. A man in the parking lot of Vectra Bank, 350 W. Main St., was arrested on a warrant.
1:04 a.m. Someone ran up to a house at in the 1600 block of Aldridge Road, kicked the door in and ran away. The estimated cost of the damage is $500.
10:20 a.m. An officer served a warrant to a man in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
1:08 p.m. A man outside a home in the 200 block of East Seventh Street was cited with trespassing. About 6:12 p.m., the man returned to the home and attempted to get inside, when the man could not get inside, he left. At 7:28 p.m., the man again went back to the home and tried to enter. The man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.
12:12 p.m. The owner of the Wigglin’ Pig, 76 S. Veach St., noticed the food trailer behind the building had been spray-painted. Footage showed two men go up to the trailer and do something out of view about 9:51 p.m. the night before.
2 p.m. A man at McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St., noticed the helmet he left on his tricycle was missing.
5:49 p.m. A man near the intersection of Seventh Street and Chestnut Street was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order and possessing a controlled substance.
7:58 p.m. A man in the 800 block of East Montezuma Avenue was arrested on a warrant. During the arrest a tribal I.D. belonging to a woman was found on the man’s person. The woman was unable to be contacted, and the man was cited with suspicion of criminal possession of an I.D.
1:50 a.m. A man at Tomahawk Motel, 728 E. Broadway, repeatedly kicked a door belonging to a different man. The man was cited with criminal mischief.
9:08 a.m. A man at his home in the 600 block of North Park Street noticed someone had stolen his phone from his truck.
9:59 a.m. A man at Veterans Park, 802 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing, possessing an open container and possession of alcohol in park.
2:15 p.m. A woman at City Market, 508 E. Main St., was arrested on a warrant.
3 p.m. An intoxicated man was only wearing pants was in the women’s restroom at the Cortez Recreation Center, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave. When a woman confronted the man, he became angry and yelled expletives. The man left the building, walked over to Parque de Vida and urinated near the skate park. The man was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace, possessing an open container, indecent exposure and possession of alcohol in a park.
5:36 p.m. A man and woman trying to pay for items at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., had trouble with the card machine and self-checkout register before leaving without paying. The total value items taken is $934.30. The woman was contacted and cited with theft. The man could not be contacted at the time of the report.
8:51 p.m. A man driving over the center lane line was pulled over in the 500 block of South Market Street. The passenger of the car was man who had a warrant, he was arrested on the warrant and on suspicion of violating a protection order.
8:52 p.m. A man at the gazebo near the City Pool, 803 E. Montezuma Ave., was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of violating a protection order.
11:28 p.m. A man and woman exited a vehicle that was illegally parked and surrounded by empty alcohol containers in the 300 block of South Pine Street. The officer told the couple that they were detained and they tried to go inside a home. As they refused to identify themselves and continued to try and enter the home the officer arrested the man and women on suspicion of obstruction. The woman was identified by her jail photo and was issued summons on suspicion of underage drinking, violating a protection order and littering. The man was identified by his driver’s license and was issued summons on suspicion of littering.
11:23 p.m. A man screaming at an employee at Tomahawk Motel, 728 S. Broadway. The man was arrested on a warrant.
11:55 p.m. A woman at Speedway, 2021 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing.
