9:01 a. A dog running loose in the 1300 block of Cottonwood Street attacked and injured another dog. The woman who owns the dog was cited with suspicion of dog running at large and maintenance of an animal that disturbs the peace.
1:25 p.m. An employee at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., showed an officer footage of a man who was suspected of shoplifting goods worth an estimated $712.76 on April 4 and April 5.
2:11 p.m. A man at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was cited with trespassing.
3:47 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a person in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
5:44 p.m. A woman at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., was arrested on a warrant. A Wrap restraint was used during the arrest, and the woman was cited with resisting arrest.
10:54 p.m. A woman in the 300 block of North Washington Street was arrested on two warrants.
7:13 a.m. A man driving circles around Children’s Kiva Preschool, 1204 E. Empire St., was arrested on a warrant out of Arizona.
11:43 a.m. A woman who refused to leave a residence in at Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St., was arrested on four warrants and cited with obstructing on officer.
2:04 p.m. A man allegedly used checking information belonging to a business owned by a woman in Cortez to forge a $3,774.51 check that he cashed at a bank in Grand Junction.
5:41 p.m. A home caught fire in the 1200 block of Animas Street when a man trying to clear weeds in front of his residence let the fire spread too far.
10:50 p.m. A man who ran a red light at South Market and Main streets swerved between lanes and almost hit a parked car. An officer followed the man to an alley in the lower 100 block of South Broadway. The man wore body armor and had ammunition and two handguns. The car, a handgun and a Visa card valued at $300 were reportedly stolen by the man. Open alcohol containers and a sawed-off shotgun were found in the car. The man was arrested on a warrant and cited with DUI, driving with a revoked license, possessing open container in a car, reckless driving, failing to drive in a single lane, running a red light, driving an uninsured car, possessing an illegal weapon, possessing a weapon while under the influence of alcohol, theft and domestic violence. The officer’s bodycam was not active during the arrest.
2:52 a.m. A man at Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, was arrested on five warrants.
5:11 a.m. A warrant was to be issued for a man who is suspected of violating two protection orders, domestic violence and harassment. The man had been sending death threats and harassing messages to a woman.
11:09 a.m. A man allegedly drove 90 mph in a 65 mph zone and passed someone on a double yellow line on U.S. Highway 160 leaving Mancos. He was pulled over in the 2000 block of East Main Street and arrested on suspicion of DUI, reckless driving and failing to present insurance.
12:38 p.m. A man repeatedly kicked a drive-thru speaker at Dairy Queen, 1127 E. Main St. The man allegedly had broken the front door lock, screaming at the worker and throwing a blizzard ice cream at the door before leaving.
5:16 p.m. A man and a woman stole a set of speakers from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.
6:08 p.m. A man seen drinking alcohol in his car was pulled over in the 1500 block of East Main Street. The man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving under restraint and possessing an open alcohol container and cannabis container in a car.
1:13 p.m. A woman who was speeding in the 400 block of South Silgo Street was pulled over in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St., and arrested on a warrant. The woman was cited with speeding and failing to provide proof of insurance.
5:19 p.m. A man who reportedly had urinated on a fence at Veterans Park, 802 E. Main St., was arrested. While the man was being medically cleared he allegedly bit a firefighter. The man was cited for assault, obstruction, resisting arrest, public indecency and underage consumption of alcohol.
2:24 p.m. A man in the 500 block of South Valley Street was arrested on a warrant.
2:53 p.m. An officer served a warrant to a person in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
3:34 p.m. A man who allegedly stole items at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., was arrested at Speedway, 2021 E. Main St.
