Thursday, Dec. 8

4:57 p.m., An officer served a person in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., two warrants for failing to appear.

9:29 p.m., A child in Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St., was arrested on suspicion of underage consumption of alcohol.

Friday, Dec. 9

8:44 a.m., A report of damaged property was made after wires for an internet relay box in the 1700 block of East Downey Avenue were cut.

11:02 a.m., A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing at a house in the 100 block of North Adams Street. During the booking process, the man reportedly began speaking to an imagined person about how he hid meth in his sock. An officer retrieved a bagged crystal substance from the sock and cited the man on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.

1:36 p.m., An officer served a person in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., a warrant for failing to appear.

7:03 p.m., A man who allegedly drove erratically in the 100 block of West Main Street was followed by an officer to the Burger King parking lot, 520 W. Main St., and arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, failing to signal, failing to display lamps and of violating a protection order that barred him from possessing or drinking alcohol.

Saturday, Dec. 10

1:17 a.m., A man was arrested in the 600 block of South Broadway on suspicion of drunken driving, following too closely, failing to drive in a single lane and driving without a valid license.

10:12 a.m., A man reported he recovered his stolen laptop from a pawnshop in the 400 block of South Elm Street.

1:23 p.m., A bike was found in the front yard of a house in the 500 block of North Market Street and was turned over to the police.

8:49 p.m., A report of a verbal argument at Sleeping Ute Apartments, 516 S. Madison St., resulted in a man’s arrest on suspicion of violating a protection order that restricts him from possessing or drinking alcohol.

Sunday, Dec. 11

2:44 p.m., A man was arrested on a warrant at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

4:30 p.m., A man was arrested on a warrant after reportedly arguing with a woman in Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

4:42 p.m., A man reportedly was seen drinking from an alcohol bottle that he tossed into bushes when stopped by police in the 200 block of East Seventh Street near Ash Street. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing an open container.

11:19 p.m., A man driving a car with expired tags was pulled over in the 700 block of West Fifth Street. He was arrested on suspicion of failing to present proof of insurance, drunken driving, displaying expired plates, operating a vehicle with a defective headlight and possessing an open alcohol container in a vehicle.

Monday, Dec. 12

9:26 a.m., A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Court, 865 N. Park St.

12:17 p.m., A man in the 500 block of East Main Street was arrested on suspicion of violating an indefinite trespass order at Super 8 Motel, 505 E. Main St.

2:17 p.m., A man in the lower 100 block of North Mildred Road was arrested on a warrant and cited for violating a protection order barring him from possessing a controlled substance.

3:59 p.m., A car leaving a gas station reportedly hit the tail end of another car in the 2000 block of East Main Street.

8:34 p.m. A man was arrested on two warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Tuesday, Dec. 13

12:35 p.m., A man who had been trespassed indefinitely from the Post Office, 35 S. Beech St., was issued summons on suspicion of trespassing.

12:51 p.m., A woman reportedly screamed and banged on the door of a home in the 200 block of South Chestnut Street and was found attempting to enter a home in the 100 block of South Maple Street. She told the police that the owner had dead bodies in the house, and she refused to leave. She was arrested on suspicion of trespassing.

2:07 p.m., A man was arrested in the lower 100 block of East Third Street for a warrant.

10:19 p.m., A man in the 400 block of South Broadway was arrested on a warrant. During his arrest, a stolen gun and meth reportedly were found on his person.

Wednesday, Dec. 14

9:57 a.m., A woman driving a car in the 1600 block of East Main Street, apparently trying to evade a nearby police car, hit a dumpster at Super Splash Carwash. She reportedly left the scene and was found parked at 215 S. Silgo St. She was arrested on suspicion of driving without insurance, driving without a valid license and drunken driving.

3:27 p.m., An officer served a warrant to a person in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

5:55 p.m., A southbound and a northbound car on South Ash Street collided while turning westbound onto East Main Street. The driver making the left turn was cited for turning on a yellow light while the other had a green light.
