Thursday, Oct. 13

9:47 a.m., A man was issued a trespass notice for going onto a neighbor’s property and leaving a threatening note on a truck in the 100 block of South Market Street.

10:06 a.m., A man at the Cortez Apartments, 630 E Empire St., was arrested for two warrants.

12:10 p.m., A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, shoplifting and obstruction in the 400 block of East Main Street after he was reported hiding items in his pants at a grocery store he was trespassed from.

3:49 p.m., A head-on collision occurred in the 700 block of North Ash Street, after a driver turned sharply left onto the road and partially into the oncoming traffic lane.

7:37 p.m., Someone was arrested for multiple warrants in the 600 block of East Third Street.

10:22 p.m., Police attempted to pull someone over and chased them throughout town starting from HandyMart 806½ S. Broadway, and ending somewhere near the intersection of Road 27 and Road H, where the police lost the vehicle.

10:41 p.m., Two men got into a physical fight at Mountain View Trailer Park, 815 S. Chestnut St. When police arrived neither wanted to press charges, however one appeared to be drunk, so he was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that prevents him from drinking or possessing alcohol.

11:54 p.m., A bike was stolen from the 200 block of N. Edith Street.

Friday, Oct. 14

11:12 a.m., A call regarding a stolen vehicle being seen at Quality Inn, 1120 E. Main St., resulted in man being arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that prevents him from being in contact with the woman who was in possession of the car.

1:52 p.m., A woman turned into oncoming traffic on North Broadway. In order to get into the right lane of traffic she attempted to drive over the median but became high-centered and stuck. A tow truck came and moved the vehicle.

3:20 a.m., A woman refused to leave Speedway, 921 E. Main St. She told the officer she had stolen a candy bar and wanted to be arrested. She was issued a summons for trespass.

4:29 p.m., A man tried to buy a phone from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., with a $100 bill that was marked ‘for motion picture use only.’ He was contacted by an officer for the incident and issued a summons on suspicion of forgery and trespassing as he was previously restricted from the property.

Saturday, Oct. 15

1:29 a.m., A woman was asleep in her car in the 800 block of East Montezuma Street. An officer attempted to rouse her and was unable to for several minutes. After she became conscious she was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that prevents her from drinking or possessing alcohol.

9:12 a.m., A woman backing her car out of a parking spot in the City Market parking lot, 508 E. Main St., ran into a truck driving by. Both drivers claim to have not seen the other, so no citation was issued.

9:59 a.m., A man was reported asleep in the truck unloading area for City Market, 508 E. Main St. When he woke up, he left the area and was found by officers bleeding from the face. After EMS arrived he was issued summons on suspicion of trespassing at the City Market.

4:43 p.m., Someone in the 800 block of East Main Street was locked out a Kindle e-Reader and contacted Amazon for assistance. After collecting $1,200s in gift cards and providing the cards info to the people who they believed to be support, they realized it may be fraud and reported it as such.

Sunday, Oct. 16

12:01 p.m., A man was arrested on the 500 block of North Elm Street for several warrants.

1:29 p.m., A man walked into Choice Building Supply, 525 N. Broadway, and walked out with a tool kit valued at $499. The owner confronted the man, recovered the tool kit and reported it as theft.

2:12 p.m., A man was arrested at Walmart, 1835 E .Main St., on suspicion of trespassing, indecent exposure and disturbing the peace. He was reported pouring drinks out in the aisles, attempting to trip people and urinating on cars.

Monday, Oct. 17

10:48 a.m., A car, whose owner was arrested and turned over U.S. Marshal's on Oct. 2, was towed as it had been abandoned in the parking lot of Parque de Vida, 400 N. Mildred Road, for two weeks.

10:25 p.m., A woman was arrested in the 800 block of East Main Street on suspicion of drunken driving and violation of a protection order that prevents her from drinking or possessing alcohol.

Tuesday, Oct. 18

9:20 a.m., Two German shepherd dogs were reported loose in Mountain View Trailer Park, 815 S. Chestnut St. After they were chased back to their residence by an officer, the owner was issued summons for dogs at large and lack of city license for the dogs.

10:53 a.m., Three people were reported smoking fentanyl in a room at Quality Inn, 1120 E Main St. Three housekeepers enter the room expecting it to be unoccupied and believe they were exposed to the smoke. Only one needed medical assistance post exposure. No arrests have been made at this time.

3:33 p.m., A woman was arrested on suspicion of speeding, driving without insurance and for a warrant in the 2000 block of E. Main St.

4:45 p.m., A car tried changing lanes too early in the 1800 block of East Main Street and ran into the back right side of a truck, damaging both vehicles. The driver was issued a citation for changing lanes when unsafe.

4:52 p.m., A man sent a text message to a woman he used to work with suggesting he would damage her vehicle unless she sent him $20. The message included a picture of her vehicle in her workplace parking lot of KFC, 2222 E. Main St.

6:30 p.m., A man was issued summons on suspicion of violating a permanent trespass order at Safeway, 1580 E Main St.

8:47 p.m., A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that prevents him from possessing or drinking alcohol in the 100 block of South Harrison Street.

10:58 p.m., A woman was pulled over for making a turn without a turn signal, resulted in her arrest. She was arrested in the 500 block of West Third Street for a warrant and on suspicion of violating a protection order that prevents her from possessing or drinking alcohol.

Wednesday, Oct. 19

12:41 p.m., A report was made for a damaged vehicle due to attempted theft in the 1200 block of South Madison St. The owner reported they had not used the vehicle in nearly in a week and did not know when the attempt occurred.

3 p.m., A car rolled over a curb in the parking lot of Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., and into a parked car resulting in an estimated $700 of damage to the parked car. It is unclear if there was a driver in the rolling car.

9:13 p.m., A woman was arrested in the 1800 block of East Seventh Street on suspicion of drunken driving.

11:04 p.m., An officer served a warrant to a someone at the Montezuma County Jail, 730 E. Driscoll.

11:51. p.m., A woman in the 600 block of North Washington Street was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that prevents her from possessing or drinking alcohol.
