7:43 a.m.: A police officer who assisted the Colorado State Patrol during a DUI investigation at the Chevron gas station, 717 S. Broadway, arrested a passenger on a warrant.
11:19 a.m.: After a report of a fight at Veteran’s Park, 830 E. Main St., one man was arrested on a warrant, and all three were cited for trespass.
6:18 p.m.: A woman in Centennial Park, 202 N. Park St., was jailed at the Montezuma County Detention Center with a BAC of 0.328 after violating two restraining orders barring her from possessing or consuming alcohol.
9:26 p.m.: A man suspected of shoplifting at the Family Dollar Store, 324 S. Broadway, was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed knife, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, obstructing a police officer, theft of less than $300, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was left in the custody of the jail staff.
7:37 p.m.: Two men were arrested after a fight at the Duck Pond, 515 N. Mildred Road. One faces charges including disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal trespass; the other, disturbing the peace. Both were trespassed from the park.
9:13 p.m.: A man suspected of breaking a vehicle’s mirror at Dolores State Bank, 744 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of a protection order violation, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
8:41 a.m.: A man reported that is car – a dark-green 1996 Infiniti Sedan with gold Infiniti emblems and rear spoiler – was stolen from his garage at 1928 S. Broadway.
11:23 a.m.: A woman wanted on a warrant turned herself in at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
1:46 p.m.: A woman reported that her car, a 2011 Ford Taurus, had been keyed outside her home in the 600 block of East Second Street.
9:58 p.m.: A woman was arrested on two warrants at a residence in the 300 block of North Washington Street.
3:46 p.m.: A man was arrested in Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., on suspicion of shoplifting from the Speedway gas station across the street.
1:58 p.m.: A man and woman accused in a hit-and-run in the 400 block of East Third Street, led an officer on a 100-mph pursuit to the Mesa Verde National Park exit ramp on U.S. Highway 160 east of Cortez. The woman, who allegedly drove after the hit-and-run, was cited for speeding 30 mph over the limit and careless driving. The man, accused in the hit-and-run, was arrested on suspicion of driving under restraint, careless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident.
3:35 p.m.: A picnic table was damaged at the Cortez Recreation Center, 400 N. Mildred Road.
7:23 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the parking lot at City Market, 508 E. Main St.
7:57 p.m.: A hiker who reached the top of the hill in Geer Natural Area, 25502 County Road L, watched as a man parked beside his vehicle and apparently stole several hundred dollars’ worth of property, including a Garmin GPS.
8:56 a.m.: A man was trespassed from City Market, 508 E. Main St., after he allegedly attempted to shoplift some items.
11:38 a.m.: A camera was reported stolen from State Farm Insurance, 1438 E. Main St.
12:37 p.m.: A man reported that his bicycle has been stolen from the Senior Center at 107 N. Chestnut St. An officer found it in front of a home at 347.5 S. Maple St., and planned to interview the suspect.
8:59 a.m.: A man suspected of assaulting another man in the 400 block of East Arbecam Avenue was arrested on suspicion of violating an alcohol-related protection order and third-degree assault.
10:35 a.m.: A man was cited for third-degree assault and issued a trespass order in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., after he allegedly struck a man in an apparent dispute over a woman. The woman was cited on suspicion of violating a protection order.
3:36 p.m.: A man was cited for unsafe backing after backing into another vehicle at the First National Bank, 2258 E. Main St.
12:38 a.m.: Police responded to a report of a fight at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., and arrested a woman on an outstanding warrant.
6:46 a.m.: A woman was being sought in the theft of a $1,200 electric scooter from Mountain Range Fitness, 2310 E. Empire St.
10:55 a.m.: A woman reported that a laptop computer was stolen from her residence, in the 300 block of North Linden Street.
1:33 p.m.: Two men and two women were cited on alcohol-related charges and trespassed from city parks after they were seen drinking near the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.
3:37 p.m.: A man was trespassed from the Ute Mountain Motel, 531 S. Broadway.
6:30 p.m.: A bicyclist failed to stop at the intersection of South Market Street and East Third Street, and was hit by an oncoming SUV. No injuries were reported.
6:53 p.m.: An employee at the Family Dollar store, 324 S. Broadway, reported that a vehicle hit her SUV and left the scene.
