Thursday, June 16

8:35 a.m. A woman’s dogs allegedly killed a man’s chickens in the 300 block of South Washington Street. An officer helped the parties arrange a civil agreement.

10:01 a.m. A man was cited for harassment after a woman reported that he shoved her to the ground in the 400 block of South Ash Street.

10:15 a.m. A man was cited for being intoxicated in the roadway after someone reported that he tried to crawl under cars in the 600 block of East Main Street.

10:35 a.m. A man was cited for trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

10:54 a.m. A woman reported that a billboard was vandalized with graffiti reading “CLK” in the 1000 block of South Broadway. There were no leads.

10:56 a.m. An intoxicated man was arrested on three warrants after he was reported for lying on the sidewalk near Cortez Welcome Center, 928 E. Main St.

5:08 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant in the 1100 block of East Main Street.

6:27 p.m. A woman reported that two people stole items from her home in the 700 block of Stratton Drive. An officer attempted to obtain a screenshot from the residence’s surveillance system.

Friday, June 17

9:47 a.m. A man was cited for shoplifting after he stole a pack of Bud Light from City Market, 508 E. Main St.

5:15 p.m. Three people were cited for disturbing the peace after they were seen fighting at the duck pond, 515 N. Mildred Road.

8:41 p.m. A woman was cited for harassment after a man reported that she wouldn’t stop texting him at the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St.

9:11 p.m. A man was cited for trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

Saturday, June 18

9:36 a.m. A man was arrested after he broke into and stole from another man’s house in the 300 block of South Pine Street.

5:46 p.m. A man and a woman were cited for shoplifting and was trespassed from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., after they several packs of beef jerky and a tent from the store.

Sunday, June 19

7:11 a.m. A man turned in a lost cellphone at Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.

7:38 a.m. A man turned in a lost cellphone at Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave.

9:43 a.m. A man was cited for trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St.

12:42 p.m. The woman who sent a man harassing text messages to a man on June 17 was again reported for doing so at the man’s residence in the 800 block of South Chestnut Street. An officer referred the case to the detective division.

Monday, June 20

11:29 a.m. An officer took dogs that appeared to be abandoned in the 500 block of North Washington Street to a shelter.

12:33 p.m. A woman was cited for shoplifting after she allegedly stole a bottle of vodka from West Slope Liquors, 2212 E. Main St.

2:05 p.m. A male and female inmate were served warrants at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

2:41 p.m. An intoxicated man was arrested on a warrant in the 800 block of East Main Street. The man also was cited for violating a protection order banning him from drinking.

6:23 p.m. A woman reported that someone broke her truck’s window in the 100 block of South Washington Street. There were no leads or suspects.

8:24 p.m. A man was arrested and cited for being intoxicated in the roadway in the 800 block of East Main Street.

Tuesday, June 21

4:48 p.m. A man was cited for trespassing at Parque de Vida, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave.

Wednesday, June 22

7:58 a.m. A man was cited for damaging private property after surveillance footage showed him breaking a window at Southwest Colorado Work Force, 22 W. North St.

8:40 a.m. Surveillance footage showed a former employee break into Papa Murphy’s and steal $610. An officer was seeking a warrant for the former employee for burglary, theft and first-degree criminal trespass.

10:37 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

5:43 p.m. A woman backed her car into another woman’s car in the 100 block of West Main St.

6:07 p.m. A man reported that someone stole his bike from his residence in the 500 block of South Madison Street.
