Thursday, Jan. 13

3:40 p.m. A woman reported seeing a body outside of Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. Police did not find anything suspicious. The woman who reported the body was legally restrained from being in contact with the Walmart.

Wednesday, Jan. 19

7:19 p.m. A man in the 600 block of South Beech Street reported that after making a $300 deposit on a car, it was never sold to him. The seller told police he had already sold the vehicle to another person and planned to refund the deposit. He was issued a summons for theft.

Thursday, Jan. 20

12:48 p.m. A woman reported that someone stole her checkbook and cashed $215 dollars via CashApp. An officer identified the apparent thief and attempted to contact him.

4:46 p.m. A man was taken into custody on a warrant at the Recreation Center, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave. after an employee reported him for using the showers without paying the entry fee. The man was trespassed from the center.

5:57 p.m. A man reported that another man stole his portable speaker from the Plaza Laundry, 1419 E. Main St.

Friday, Jan. 21

9:17 a.m. A man was arrested on outstanding warrants after an employee reported he was sleeping in the post office lobby, 35 S. Beech St.

2:36 p.m. A man was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 700 block of South Broadway.

3 p.m. A woman reported damage that had been done to her vehicle when she was not in possession of it in the 2200 block of East Main Avenue.

3:48 p.m. An officer took possession of an abandoned bicycle in the 400 block of East Main Street.

9:10 p.m. A man was taken into custody and cited for being intoxicated in a roadway after a woman reported that he ran in front of her car in the 1200 block of East Main Street.

9:14 p.m. A man was taken into custody for drunken driving after he slowly evaded officers trying to pull him over for screeching his tires in the lower 100 block of North Mildred Road.

10:07 p.m. A man’s dog reportedly bit him accidentally while they played with a rope toy in the 700 block of Birch Drive.

Saturday, Jan. 22

8:53 p.m. Staff reported that a man tried to fight a customer and broke a window at Gustavo’s Mexican Restaurant and Bar at 125 E. Main St.

Sunday, Jan. 23

12:07 p.m. A woman reported that her car collided with another while both attempted to back out of a parking spot at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. Since both drivers were at fault, neither driver was cited.

4 p.m. An intoxicated man reportedly had a seizure while being arrested on outstanding warrants in the 400 block of East First Street. He was treated at the hospital, then jailed.

10:29 p.m. A man was cited for failing to provide proof of insurance, displaying expired plates and driving with a revoked license after he was pulled over for expired plates in the 300 block of North Broadway.

Monday, Jan. 24

11:59 a.m. A rear-end collision in the 500 block of East Main Street was attributed to a woman’s faulty brakes.

1:07 p.m. An officer took possession of a bike found in the 2000 block of East Downey Avenue.

Tuesday, Jan. 25

2:58 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

Wednesday, Jan. 26

10:04 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant in the 700 block of North Park Street.

9:26 p.m. A man reported that he had been stabbed in the lower 100 block of East Main Street.
