Thursday, Dec. 16

6:48 a.m. A man was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants after he was pulled over for speeding in the 400 block of East Main Street.

11:34 a.m. An accident occurred in the lower 100 block of North Edith Street after a man in a truck backed into a car while trying to give a semitrailer room to make a left turn.

11:39 a.m. A woman was issued a summons after her son’s dogs were at large and being aggressive in the 200 block of East Third Street.

2:07 p.m. A man was issued a summons for trespassing after he entered a Walmart he was banned from at 1835 E. Main St.

4:48 p.m. A man was served a warrant and issued a summons at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:41 p.m. A man was issued a summons for violating a trespass order after someone reported him for being aggressive and refusing to leave in the 200 block of East Seventh Street. Another man on the scene was taken into custody and issued a summons for drinking while having a protection order prohibiting from doing so.

11:36 p.m. A man was taken into custody for drinking and driving after an officer pulled him over for speeding and not having rear lights in the 300 block of East Main Street.

Friday, Dec. 17

12:12 p.m. A man was issued summons for driving without proof of insurance and failing to yield at a stop sign after he T-boned a woman’s car in the 200 block of Linden Street.

2:13 p.m. A man was taken into custody for drinking and driving after someone reportedly witnessed him drive over a median onto a curb and crash into a road sign, a rock pillar, a lamp, and almost two pedestrians. The man was also issued summons for driving an uninsured vehicle and careless driving.

2:28 p.m. A man was taken into custody after someone reported that he assaulted an employee at a Walmart he was banned from at 1835 E. Main St. The man was issued summons for third-degree criminal trespass and harassment.

6:08 p.m. A woman reported that her vehicle was stolen in the 1200 block of East Montezuma Avenue. An officer entered the stolen vehicle into a tracking system. There were no leads.

7:54 p.m. A male driver was taken into custody for drunken driving after he was pulled over in the 100 block of West Main Street for having no tail lights, weaving and using his turn signal improperly.

Saturday, Dec. 18

9:10 a.m. A warrant was requested for a man who reportedly committed a hit-and-run in City Market parking lot, 508 E. Main St.

9:41 a.m. A resident reported that a man stole his car in the 2100 block of South Broadway. The man was taken into custody and issued summons for aggravated motor vehicle theft.

12:37 p.m. A woman was taken into custody after she reportedly got into a fight with her female neighbor in the 600 block of South Washington Street. She was issued summons for third degree assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment. A man who was on the scene was also taken into custody after he reportedly struck his male neighbor. He was issued summons for third degree assault and disorderly conduct.

1:49 p.m. A man was issued summons for disturbing the peace and indecent exposure after a woman reported that he visibly urinated in the Walmart parking lot, 1835 E. Main St.

5:29 p.m. A man reported that $300 and some candy were stolen from his vehicle in the 400 block of North Park Street. There were no leads.

5:40 p.m. A woman reported that her vehicle was stolen in the lower 100 block of South Broadway. An officer suspected a man who had been taken into custody for vandalizing and entering vehicles in the area earlier that day. The man had not been seen or contacted. There were no other leads.

9:52 p.m. A woman reported that her car was egged in the 400 block of North Market Street. There were no leads.

Sunday, Dec. 19

10:13 a.m. A business owner reported that approximately $13,400 was stolen in a burglary in the 2500 block of East Main Street. The business owner provided surveillance video evidence. There were no other leads.

11:20 a.m. A woman reported that a man she was talking to over the internet sent her a fake check for $4,600 in the 1400 block of North Mildred Road. There were no leads.

1:32 p.m. A woman reported firearm theft in the 600 block of North Elm Street. There were no leads.

Monday, Dec. 20

1:35 a.m. A woman was issued summons for not notifying police of an accident and failing to provide insurance after she reportedly crashed into a tree and fled the scene at the Walmart parking lot at 1835 E. Main St.

1:17 p.m. A woman reported that someone shattered her business’ window with a can of Monster in the 700 block of East Main Street. There were no leads.

2:16 p.m. An intoxicated woman was taken into custody on outstanding warrants after someone requested emergency medical service response to her residence in the lower 100 block of West Driscoll Street. The woman was also issued a summons for violating a protection order that prohibited her from drinking.

2:52 p.m. A man turned himself in on an outstanding warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:38 p.m. A woman reported that a man had almost hit two pedestrians and ran a stop sign in the 300 block of South Ash Street. The man was taken into custody for drunk driving.

Tuesday, Dec. 21

9:55 a.m. A woman’s dog reportedly bit her daughter’s hand in the 900 block of Sligo Street. The daughter did not press charges. The officer issued the woman a home confinement agreement for the dog.

10:40 a.m. A woman reported that a restaurant she managed was burglarized in the 300 block of East Main Street. There were no leads.

11:12 p.m. A man was remanded at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

Wednesday, Dec. 22

9:46 a.m. A man reported that someone hit his car and fled in the 300 block of East Main Street. The damage was minor and the suspect was unknown. No charges were pursued.

11:23 p.m. A man with active warrants presented officers with identification that was not his in the 300 block of East Main Street. The man was taken into custody on those warrants and issued new summons for criminal impersonation and criminal possession of identification document.

12:32 p.m. A man reportedly committed a hit and run in the 1100 block of East Main Street. He was issued summons for failure to give information after and accident and careless driving.

2:42 p.m. An intoxicated woman was taken into custody after she was involved in a traffic accident in the 800 block of East Main Street. She was issued summons for drinking and driving, careless driving, and operating an uninsured vehicle.

6:01 p.m. A woman was taken into custody at the Walmart at 1835 E. Street after she reportedly shoplifted approximately $2,380 worth of items. She was issued summons for $2,000-$5,000 theft and possessing illegal drug paraphernalia.

9:26 p.m. An intoxicated man was taken into custody on outstanding warrants in the lower 100 block of South Market Street. The man had a protection order prohibiting him from consuming alcohol and was issued a summons for violating it.
