Tuesday, April 23

12:07 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant from Colorado Department of Corrections at the Colorado Workforce Center, 2208 E. Main St., and jailed at the Montezuma County Detention Center.

2:35 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at a car dealership in the 100 block of N. Broadway and jailed at the Montezuma County Detention Center.

4:49 p.m. A man was arrested for trespassing at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St. He was left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Wednesday, April 24

4:25 p.m. A man was issued an active warrant at the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St. He was left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

4:51 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant and for violating bond conditions in the 200 block of N. Park St. En route to the Montezuma County Detention Center, she head-butted the cage in the vehicle and kicked the roof, causing a dent.

4:54 p.m. A man was arrested for disturbing the peace and trespassing after he was seen masturbating at a business in the 10 block of Harrison Street. A business owner reported the man’s actions were bad for business, and an employee of another company requested the officer ask the man to pull up his pants. A breath analysis found a blood-alcohol content of 0.259.

5:52 p.m. A woman was cited for shoplifting goods valued at $16.68 from Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., and given a trespass notice.

Thursday, April 25

10:08 a.m. A man was issued a warrant at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

Friday, April 26

12:52 a.m. A man was issued a trespass warrant and released at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.

4:38 p.m. A deputy is seeking an arrest warrant for a man for harassment and violation of a protection order after responding to a domestic violence call in the 600 block of Elm Street.

Saturday, April 27

12:23 p.m. A woman was issued a warrant in the 700 block of E. Driscoll Street and left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Sunday, April 28

1:08 p.m. A man was arrested for vehicular eluding, DUI and obstructing government operations in the 200 block of N. Ash Street. An officer reportedly witnessed him speeding westbound on E. Montezuma Avenue and initiated a traffic stop, but the driver sped away. Other officers initiated a search after the man fled his vehicle. He was found in the 700 block of Austin Street, arrested and left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

2:05 p.m. A man was cited for violating a protection order in the 400 block of W. Seventh Street.

4:40 p.m. A man was arrested in the 2400 block of Trinity Avenue on a warrant. and left in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Monday, April 29

7:31 p.m. A counterfeit $100 bill was reported at a business in the 200 block of S. Sligo St.

Tuesday, April 30

9:50 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, DUI per-se and failure to obey a stop sign on South Washington Street at Main Street. A breath analysis found a blood-alcohol reading of 0.298. He was jailed at the Montezuma County Detention Center.
