3:40 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the 600 block of East Montezuma Avenue for failing to appear in court for a local misdemeanor.
10:04 p.m. A woman was arrested in the 300 block of South Maple Street on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence, after she allegedly punched her ex-husband and caused serious injuries to his face.
11:50 p.m. A man was arrested in the 600 block of South Washington Street on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence after his girlfriend claimed he hit and kicked her.

1:06 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 600 block of Wyoming Street on suspicion of second-degree assault, false imprisonment, domestic violence, criminal mischief and obstruction of telephone services. He had allegedly hit and choked his girlfriend and caused $200 of damage to a door by kicking it.
9:34 a.m.: A man was arrested at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, on a warrant for third-degree assault.
3:05 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the parking lot of City Market, 508 E. Montezuma St., for failing to appear in court for a local felony.
8:11 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 900 block of East Main Street on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving under revocation and driving with a defective headlamp.
9:16 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the 800 block of East Third Street for failing to appear in court for an out-of-county misdemeanor.
10:29 p.m.: A man was arrested at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St., on suspicion of shoplifting. He was found with an airgun and several other items, valued at a total of $197.45.

12:08 p.m.: A man was arrested in Cortez City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of possessing an open container of alcohol in a public park.
3:28 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant in the 10 block of North Madison Street for failing to appear in court for an out-of-county misdemeanor.
3:33 p.m.: A man was issued a summons at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St., on suspicion of shoplifting after he allegedly tried to steal two pregnancy tests, a Batman beanie and three DVDs.
5:34 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 200 block of West Second Street on a felony warrant and two misdemeanor warrants.

11:16 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., for failing to appear in court for a local misdemeanor.

12:02 a.m.: A man was arrested at Blondie’s, 45 E. Main St., on two active warrants and on suspicion of disturbing the peace.
2:16 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 10 block of South Beech Street on suspicion of driving under the influence.
12:29 p.m.: A woman was issued a summons at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St., on suspicion of shoplifting after she and an unidentified woman allegedly stole $78.38 worth of clothing and accessories.
7:27 p.m.: A man was issued a summons for littering in the 800 block of East Montezuma Avenue.
11:03 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 600 block of South Broadway on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance after meth and drug paraphernalia were found in her car.

11:26 a.m.: A man was issued a summons for animal cruelty near East Main Street and North Mildred Road after he allegedly threw a pit bull puppy onto a concrete bench and hit it several times. The dog was transported to the Cortez Animal Shelter.
4:56 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the LivWell parking lot, 1819 E. Main St., for failing to appear in court for a local misdemeanor.
Monday, Jan. 16
9:11 a.m.: A man reported a possible theft of a $1,000 public-address system in the 20 block of South Madison Street.
12:08 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 100 block of East Third Street on a failure to appear warrant for driving without a license, driving without insurance and operating an unregistered vehicle. He was also charged with driving an uninsured vehicle and displaying expired number plates.
3:06 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 600 block of East Second Street on suspicion of first-degree burglary, a protection-order violation, third-degree assault, harassment and criminal mischief. He had allegedly walked into his mother’s house uninvited, cooked eggs on her stove and then attacked her and her husband, breaking her $300 glasses.
7:54 p.m.: A woman was issued a summons for disturbing the peace after allegedly hitting another woman in the face at Wal-Mart, 1835 E. Main St., during an ongoing personal dispute.

2:25 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the 400 block of South Broadway for failing to appear in court for an out-of-county felony.
4:02 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the 100 block of North Adams Street for failing to appear in court for a local misdemeanor.
5:20 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 800 block of Montezuma Avenue on suspicion of violating a restraining order.
5:57 p.m.: A man reported an incident of criminal mischief in the 200 block of South Maple Street after he found a hole in his window that might have been caused by a BB or pellet gun.
