The festival will include a variety of activities

Piñon Project is hosting a Pumpkin Fest prior to the Halloween holiday on Oct. 26 at Montezuma Park on West Montezuma Avenue. The festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

At 9 a.m., the zombie run will take place at the same time as the cake walk. Little monsters who wish to do both the zombie run and the cake walk need not fear, because the zombie run will end at 10 a.m., while the cake walk will go until 11 a.m.

There will also be a costume contest, with registration taking place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. When registration closes, ghouls and goblins will take part in the contest from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., when winners will be announced.

At 11:30, the trick-or-treat loop will commence, with candy for ghosts, vampires and zombies of all ages. The loop will run until 1 p.m.

Finally, the Pumpkin Fest will include a carnival, which will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m., when the festival ends.

All are welcome to attend.
